Ibinahagi ng RFM Corporation na inaprubahan ng kanilang Board of Directors ang cash dividend na Php366-M o Php0.1060 per share na payable sa September 10, 2020 na may record date na August 13, 2020. Ang total dividend per share ngayong 2020 ay nasa Php0.212 per share na o 4.99% sa 4.25 per share price.
Bukod pa rito, nagdagdag din umano ang Board ng Php500 milyon para sa patuloy na share buyback. Ayon kay RFM President and CEO Jose Ma. A. Concepcion III, “This second payment of dividends out of the 2019 income of Php1.23-B completes the planned 60% payout rate totaling Php737-M, higher than the usual 50% payout. Despite the COVID-19 impact on economic activities, RFM’s balance sheet and cash position remained strong and allowed the continuation of dividend payments and the share buyback.”
Sa RFM Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, sinabi ni Concepcion na sa 1st quarter ng 2020, bumagal ang pagtaas ng revenue at bumaba mula 4% ay naging 3%. Sa 2nd quarter ng 2020, tumaas naman ang sales ng gatas, pasta at sauce. Kung pagkukumparahin sa 2019, tumaas ng 2% o umabot sa Php7-B ang sales at tumaas naman ng 5% sa Php611-M ang kinita.
Ayon pa kay Concepcion, sa panahon ng quarantine, nag-iba umano ang eating behavior ng mga konsumer at mas marami ang nutritious food na niluluto sa bahay. Kabilang dito ang pagtaas ng pagbili ng Selecta Fortified Milk, Fiesta and Royal pasta at sauce. Mabilis din umanong naka-recover ang RFM sa pagbaba ng quarantine classification sa bansa. Aniya, “Taken alone, RFM’s pasta, milk, sauce and White King sales for the first half of 2020 showed 18% growth and with improving ice cream sales, we can expect total RFM topline to post better growth in the coming months.”
