Hindi na maaari pang maliitin ang kakayanan ng pag-angat ng online gaming sa bansa, dahil bukod sa kinahihiligan ito ng kabataan, ay maaari na ring maging daan ito tungo sa kanilang kinabukasan.
Ito’y matapos magsama ang Lyceum of the Philippines University at esports at gaming agency na Tier One Entertainment para maglunsad ng isang curriculum na mayroong four-year degree sa Bachelor of Science in Esports, sakaling maaprubahan na ito sa susunod na pasukan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

In the recent years, multiple universities around the world have opened their institutions to esports courses and as one of the biggest esports market in Asia, this is Philippines’ turn to take that leap. Sinabi rin sa naturang post na pinapanalisa na lamang ng LPU ang mga nilalamang paksa ng naplanong kurikulum para sa apat na taong programa kung saan magkakaroon ito ng dalawang tracks na Game Design at Esports Management.“In partnership with LPU, Tier One Entertainment is finalizing the drafted curriculum for a four year program called Bachelor of Science in Esports. The 4-year course will have two tracks for students to choose from, its either game design or esports management. I can’t disclose the full subjects yet but we are 80% done,” ayon sa post.
Hinikayat din ni Gutierrez ang lahat ng mga nahihilig sa online gaming na suportahan ang naturang programa upang maipahatid sa mga magulang at mga hindi naniniwala sa magandang dulot ng pag-aaral ng online gaming sa Pilipinas. “I’m calling all the gamers out there to be ambassadors of our esports dream and help us educate the non-believers about the real potential of the gaming industry in order for the enrollees’ parents to agree to take this course.”
