SEAG medals, sisiguruhin ng sepak takraw team

Handang-handa na ang Philippine Sepak Takraw team upang kunin ang glorya sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Kasunod ng ilang mga pinagdaanang training sa ibang bansa at paglahok sa mga prestihiyosong international tour­nament, kumpiyansa ang Pinoy sepak takraw athletes na magbubunga ng medalya ang paghihirap nila sa biennial meet.

“I’d say that this is by far the most thorough, well planned and most funded campaign of our NSA (national sports association) in the recent years,” ayon kay Pilipinas Sepak Takraw Association, Inc. President Karen Tanchanco-Caballero.

“From the team composition, coaching staff, international training camps and foreign coaches plus several international exposure competitions, we have exhausted whatever support we can give to the PH Team to give them a strong fighting chance for golds in the SEA Games. Thanks for Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee and private/corporate sponsors,” dagdag niya.

Matapos ang kanilang kampanya sa Arafura Game sa Darwin, Australia, nasundan ang men at women’s camp sa South Korea at Thailand ng ilang buwan bago lumahok sa ilang liga sa Thailand upang mahasa pa ang husay at kumpiyansa.

“We went to train with several strong clubs in Thailand as part of our training camp and exposure (to actual tour­naments). We also trained with Team Korea,” ani Tanchanco-Caballero.
