Proteksiyon sa mga ‘takusa’ at ‘ander de saya’

Pinabibigyan ng proteksiyon sa estado ang mga tinaguriang ‘ander de saya’, ‘takusa’ o takot sa asawa’ o mister na nakararanas ng pagmamalupit ng kanilang misis.

Pinaaamiyendahan sa inihaing House Bill 4888 ni Rizal Rep. Fidel Nograles ang Republic Act 9262 o Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children upang maisama na rin na mabigyan ng proteksiyon ang mga mister na naabuso ng kanilang asawa.

Sa ilalim ng panukala na tatawaging Anti-Violence Against Partners and their Children Act, ipagbabawal ang anumang uri ng karahasan sa partner o asawang lalaki, gayundin ang kanilang mga anak.

“We must recognize that there are also male partners who are victims of abuse, yet are unable to report such incidents because of prejudice,” saad ni Nograles.

Dagdag-mekanismo rin umano ito para maprotektahan ang pamilyang Pilipino.

“Violence and abuse do not discriminate. Babae man o lalake, at miyembro ng LGBT, may suffer from the deleterious effects of an abusive relationship. It’s government’s duty to protect everyone,” ayon pa sa kongresista.
