Magsisilbing inspirational speakers sina Senador Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara at Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go sa opening ng unang Philippine Professional Sports Summit ngayong Martes (Set.24) na idaraos sa Philippine International Convention Center.
Sina Sen. Angara, Chairman ng Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas at Sen. Go, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports ay dalawa sa nangungunang tagasuporta ng Professional Sports sa bansa. Ang two-day summit — kauna-unahan sa bansa ay inorganisa ng Games and Amusements Board (GAB) sa pamumuno ni Chairman Abraham “Baham”Mitra bilang bahagi ng panuntunan na “bridge the gaps and build strong partnerships between the GAB and the various stakeholders in Professional Sports.”
Magdedeliber ng welcome remarks si Mitra simula ng 9 a.m. at maggagawad ng plaques of appreciation kina Sen. Angara at Sen. Go bilang pasasalamat sa papel nilang ginagampanan sa promotion ng professional sports. “This first-ever Philippine Professional Sports Summit will give participants the chance to share ideas and good practices and provide valuable networking opportunities among various groups in the professional industry,” dagdag ni Mitra, na personal na inatasan ni President Duterte noong 2016. Idaraos nito makaraan ang round-table discussions hinggil sa iba’t ibang pro sports sa umaga. Ang afternoon session ay magsisimula ng 1 p.m. kung saan opening remarks si GAB commissioner Mario Masanguid. (MC)
