MABILIS na umaksiyon si KC Montero na isang TV host, VJ at Marke­ting vice-president ng Kumu, isang social net­work, nang may isang netizen ang nang-bash kay James Reid, na napag-alamang empleyado pala sa nasabing livestream platform.

Ang siste, nag-tweet ang empleyado kay James ng “Si James Reid, amoy-t*e,” na ini-retweet ng mga fans ng aktor at nilagyan ng caption na: “We turned in but do you know this person? Was this a joke or sth? I hope the staff would show respect.”

Agad na ni-reply-an ito ni KC at sinabing, “Listen tomorrow on @Magic899 at 7 AM. Listen for yourselves what happened.”

Marami kasing fans ang nag-tweet at nagsasabing dapat turuan ng Kumu ang kanilang staff ng proper social media etiquette, at sabi ni KC, “Well, we can’t police everyone. So we’re as surprised as you are. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and we hope it doesn’t damage your thoughts about Kumu. We really are just a place to have fun.”

Kaya ayon kay KC, aaksiyunan nila ang kontrobersiya ng kanilang empleyado at makakatanggap ito ng proper consequences sa ginawa niya.

“It has been brought to our attention that one of our staff members made an inappropriate tweet that is in no way a reflection of what Kumu thinks or stands for. Please know that the situation is being handled and appropriate measures are being taken,” paliwanag ni KC.
