4 PHL JR. TALENT, SASABAK SA ASPAC NBA GLOBAL

APAT na Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars — tatlong lalaki at isang babae ang kakatawan sa Asia Pacific Jr. NBA Global Championship sa huling bahagi ng taon na ito.

Ang Global Championship ay isang youth basketball tournament para sa top 13 at 14-year-old boys at girls teams mula sa iba’t ibang dako ng mundo na idaraos sa Agosto 6-11 sa ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex sa Walt Disney World malapit sa Orlando, Florida.

Sina Camille Nolasco, Heinz Gabriel Demisana, Sebastian Reyes at Lionel Matthew Rubico ang magiging bahagi ng top performing players para sa kauna-unahang Jr. NBA Asia Pacific Selection Camp na idinaos noong Hunyo 15 -16 sa Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) sa Jakarta, Indonesia.

Ang Selection Camp ay tinampukan ng 34 boys at 34 girls mula sa Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand at Vietnam. “When I first saw my opponents, I didn’t expect to be here since they’re so tall, but I brought the Filipino mentality ‘puso’ which helped achieve my goal of being part of the Jr. NBA Asia Pacific girls team,” ayon kay Nolasco.

Ayon naman kay Rubico, “My coaches always reminded to go hard to the basket, not be afraid, believe in myself, and fight with all my heart. I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and challenging the talented players from around the world.”
