Palpak, ‘di na katanggap-tanggap — Digong | SMARTMATIC, OUT!

MISMOMG si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ang nagpahayag na nais na niyang palitan ang Smartmatic at huwag nang isama sa bidding para sa susunod na halalan.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa harap ng Filipino Community sa Tokyo, Japan, pinayuhan ng pangulo ang Commission on Elections na i-dispose na ang Smartmatic, ang provider ng vote counting machines (VCMs) sa automated elections sa bansa.

“I would like to advise Comelec now — hindi ko na lang hintayin, dispose of that Smartmatic and look for a new one that is free of fraud,” ani Duterte.

“Ang Liberal sabi nila nadaya sila. Ako sabi nila nadaya rin. And you know it’s creating an environment of hostile attitude against that Smartmatic,” ayon pa sa pangulo.

“You have three years. Kakatapos lang ng election. Palitan na ninyo kasi it is no longer acceptable to me, to the people and even to the congressmen who are here,” dagdag pa nito.

“Why are you insisting sa Smartmatic? Because bidding?” ayon pa sa pangulo.

Samantala, nilinaw ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na hindi sinasabi ng pangulo na hindi na kapani-paniwala ang resulta ng nakaraang halalan.

Sa halip, sinisisi lamang umano ng Punong Ehekutibo ang Smartmatic sa mga kapalpakan at aberyang naitala.

“The President is not comfortable with these allegations that produce a whiff of fraud or delay in the announcing of the election results. The President wants that the future elections will not be subjected to the same aforementioned concerns,” ani Panelo.

“The President’s latest remarks on Smartmatic does not mean that the just concluded elections is not honest nor credible. It is. The president’s remarks is a response to some concerns raised... on the technological competence of Smartmatic,” dagdag pa ni Panelo.

Ang Smartmatic ang nag-supply ng vote counting machines (VCM) noong 2016 elections na binili ng Comelec at ginamit din nitong nakaraang halalan.

Matatandaang, ang Smartmatic din ang nanalo sa bidding para sa transmission ng resulta mula sa VCMs papunta sa Comelec Central Server, canvassing centers at transparency server.

Maaalalang pitong oras naantala ang pagpapalabas ng partial at unofficial results mula sa transparency server sa gabi ng halalan dahil nagkaproblema sa file transfer manager na nagpapadala ng resulta mula sa transparency server papunta sa media at Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.
