Dear Chief Acosta,

Magandang araw! Maraming salamat!— Daniel

Dear Daniel,

Para sa inyong kaalaman, ang inyong katanungan ay tinatalakay sa Section 12.1 ng Implementing Rules and Regulations of Chapter V- “Public Laundry” of the Code of Sanitation of the Philippines (Presidential Decree No. 856) kung saan nakasaad na:

“Section 12. INSPECTION AND EVALUATION

12.1 Responsible Officer

It shall be the duty of the local health officer to cause the inspection and evaluation of every establishment requiring a sanitary permit for its operation at least every three (3) months and to cause additional inspection and re-inspection and evaluation as deemed necessary for the enforcement of these rules and regulations.” [Binigyang-diin]

Ang pagpigil sa nasabing inspeksiyon ay pinapatawan ng kaukulang parusa sang-ayon sa Section 17 ng nasabing Implementing Rules and Regulations, kung saan nakasaad na;

“Section 17. PENAL PROVISION. –

xxx

17.2 Any person who shall interfere or hinder, or oppose any officer, agent or member of the Department of Health or of the bureaus and offices under it, in the performance of his duty as provided for under these rules and regulations, or shall tear down, mutilate, deface or alter any placard or notice, affixed to the premises in the enforcement of these rules and regulations shall be guilty of misdemeanour and punishable upon conviction by imprisonment for a period not exceeding six (6) months or by a fine not exceeding Php1,000 or both depending on the discretion of the court.”
