NAGPALIWANAG SI PACMAN KUNG BAKIT SI THURMAN

MAGANDANG laban para kay Manny Pacquiao ang magiging bakbakan nila ni Keith Thurman kung kaya sumang-ayon ang Filipino world champion na idaos ang laban nila sa Hulyo 20 sa Las Vegas.

“I liked the way he fought against Danny Garcia,” saad ng 8-division champion sa Yahoo Sports. “I thought his style would match up well with mine. We are going to give the fans a great fight and an exciting night.”

Hawak ni Pacquiao, 40, ang World Boxing Association “regular” welterweight title, habang si Thurman ay may WBA “super” welterweight strap.

“I believe Keith Thurman is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing,” aniya. “That is why I am fighting him. He has faced and beaten two former welterweight champions, Robert Guerrero and Danny Garcia, and one current welterweight champion of the world, Shawn Porter. I have always looked for the best challenges in my career and Keith Thurman is an undefeated WBA super champion.”

Gayunman, matagal-tagal ding hindi naging aktibo si Thurman dahil sa injuries. Isang beses lumaban noong 2016 at 2017 at hindi aktibo noong 2018. Nagbalik siya at dinepensahan ang titulo kontra kay Josesito Lopez noong Enero at nagwagi. “I would say Keith Thurman has looked rusty in the past,” aniya. “I do not think that will be an issue when we fight because he has already fought once this year.
