VOLUNTEERS BINUO PARA SA 56 SPORTS NG 30TH SEA GAMES

“THIS is one moment in time we, Filipinos, get our act together, consolidate our efforts and pull our resources together to ensure the success of the 30thSoutheast Asian Games we’re all yearning for. There is no impossible if we work as one,” ayon kay Philippine Southeast Asian Games (PHISGOC) chairman Alan Peter Cayetano sa launching ng PH SEA Games Volunteers Program na ginawa sa Lakeshore Tent sa Taguig.

Ang sigaw niya, “We win as one” na nakasuot ng jacket na puti na may logo ng SEA Games na hugis ng mapa ng ‘Pinas at aniya ang tagumpay ng torneo na tatawaging “Southeast Asia biggest sports spectacle” ay makakamit lamang kung lahat ay magsasama-sama at magtutulung-tulong para sa isang layunin. “The success of the SEA Games cannot be attributed to one individual. It is the success of the Filipinos. Let’s show our affirmation and commitment to SEA Games and prove once again to the world that Philippines has the expertise and experience hosting big multi international sports competition,” aniya pa.

Dumalo rin ang sports personalities ng SEA Games na sina POC vice president at cycling head Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, Chief of Mission Rep. Monsour del Rosario, POC secretary general Patrick Gregorio, Marc Edward Velasco, triathlete Pia Cayetano, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial at PBA players kasama sina CJ Perez, Asi Taulava at coach Jimmy Alapag.

Sinabi ng dating Senador at Foreign Affairs Secretary na ang new state-of-art New Clark City Sports Complex ay 95 percent tapos na at handa na sa pag-host ng Southeast Asia biggest sports spectacle sa rehiyon. Binigyang papuri ni Cayetano ang mga volunteers sa kanilang “selfless minded and dedication” para masiguro ang tagumpay ng SEA Games. “We want to give opportunities to Filipinos to be part of the biggest SEA Games in its history, not just as spectators but as working volunteers,” sambit ni Cayetano na ngayon lang gaganap na chairman ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games.

May 56 sports kasama ang premier sport athletics ang paglalabanan sa 11 days competition tampok ang mahigit 11,000 atleta at opisyal galing sa 11 mga bansa na bumubuo sa Southeast Asia.
