Hawak ng Alab ang kontensiyon kontra bisitang Slingers matapos ang 86-72 na panalo kontra Formosa Dreamers sa Santa Rosa noong Biyernes ng gabi.

“We were watching (the game between Singapore Slingers and Hong Kong Eastern) in the dugout,” aniya.

“They’re just finishing the game into overtime so the (deputy) coaches and I were about to grab our late dinner and shift our focus to Singapore. We’ll try to finish the year strong.” Umalagwa ang laro ng Alab kontra Formosa Dreamers sa 4th quarter, at ayon kay coach Jimmy Alapag hindi sila magtatagumpay kung wala ang iba pang tulong ng bench players.

Ginamit ng Alab ang 21-3 run para iangat sa 65-59 ang deficit at umalawa pa hanggang sa 86-72 na panalo kontra Dreamers.

“I felt like tonight (Friday) was a great early season test for us considering we had to start late in the season. Formosa was off and running from the start. They’ve been playing really well. For the most part of the game, we were trying to find our way,” ayon kay Alapag, kung saan ang kanyang team ay pinalawig pa ang perpektong simula ng season sa markang 3-0 record. “It’s just one of the type of games that we had to keep pushing,” ani Alapag. Ang Formosa ay pinamumunuan ni Malcolm Miller na hawak sa game ang 6-1 card. (MC)
