1M plus na AstraZeneca, donasyon ng Japan sa ‘Pinas

Mahigit sa isang milyon doses ng COVID-19 vaccine na AstraZeneca na donasyon ng Japan ang dumating ngayong Huwebes nang gabi, July 8, 2021.


Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, ito ay isa sa dalawang batch ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine shipment na inaasahang maide-deliver ngayong linggo. “We are expecting two batches of AstraZeneca this week. The first one was that donated by the Japanese government which will arrive tonight,” ani Roque sa press briefing kanina.


Nasa 1,124,100 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines ang donasyon ng Japanese government sa Pilipinas. Ang ikalawang shipment na isa ring donasyon sa pamamagitan ng World Health Organization (WHO)-led COVAX Facility ay nasa 2,028,000 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines.


Ang mga donasyong bakuna sa ilalim ng COVAX ay maaari lamang magamit ng mga health workers, senior citizens o mga edad 60 at pataas, mga persons with comorbidities, at indigent o mahihirap na indibidwal.


Gayundin, sinabi ni Roque na 170,000 doses ng COVID-19 vaccine na Sputnik V ng Russia ay inaasahang dumating ngayong linggo.
