VP Robredo, rehistrado na sa PhilSys

Nakumpleto na ni Bise-Presidente Leni Robredo ang ikalawang bahagi ng pagpaparehistro para sa Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), ayon sa ulat ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Ayon sa PSA, noon pang Lunes nang umaga natapos ni Robredo ang Step 2 Registration sa Magarao, Camarines Sur, isa sa mga napiling munisipalidad sa 32 priority provinces para sa isinasagawang PhilSys registration. Nakapaloob sa Step 2 Registration, ang pagkuha ng biometric data ng isang registrant gaya ng fingerprints, iris scans, at front-facing photograph. “She [Robredo] finished the process in about 12 minutes without technical difficulties after queuing with other local registrants,” pahayag ng PSA.

Matatandaang sinimulan ang Step 2 Registration noong Enero habang unti-unting nagpapatuloy at isinasagawa sa priority provinces. Sa ulat ng PSA, umabot na sa kabuuang 6,378,695 registrants ang nakakumpleto ng Step 2 Registration noong April 30.

Gayunman, ang inilunsad na PhilSys portal para sa pilot online Step 1 Registration noong April 30 ay nahinto dahil sa tinatawag ng ahensiyang “technical difficulties.” Agad namang humingi ng paumanhin ang PSA sa publiko sa nangyari. Sa ilalim ng Step 1, kinukuha ng PSA ang 10 demographic information -- pangalan, kasarian, birthplace at birth date, blood type, address, citizenship, marital status, cellphone number, at email address – mula sa nais magparehistro.

Ang final step naman para sa PhilSys registration ay ang pag-iisyu ng PhilSys Number (PSN) at ang Philippine Identification (PhilID) card. “The PSN is a randomly generated number and will serve as a permanent identification number for every registrant used for digital transactions,” ayon sa PSA. Katuwang ng PSA ang PHLPost para sa pag-deliver ng PSN at PhilID sa mga registrants.
