Ipinagbawal ni Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong ang pagpasok ng mga turista mula sa National Capital Region (NCR) at karatig-lugar nito simula ngayong araw bilang pagsunod sa travel restrictions dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19.
Saad ni Magalong, "Because of this recent issuance of Resolution 104 by IATF, we will also make the necessary adjustments... hindi tayo tatanggap ng tourists coming from NCR and some parts of Regions III and IV, specifically Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna. "That comprises about 70% of our visitors.
So we're expecting a downtrend of our visitors especially this Holy Week and that's one way of controlling mobility.
We need to control mobility."
Kamakailan ay ibinaba ng pamahalaan ang IATF Resolution No. 104 kung saan napapaloob ang bagong travel restrictions paalis at papasok ng Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, at Bulacan kung saan ipinagbabawal na ang mga non-essential travel simula ngayong March 22 hanggang April 4 dahil sa pagdami ng kaso ng COVID-19.
