Solo Parent from Bacolod Wins Lotto 6/42 Jackpot Through Lucky Pick

By: Justin B. Santos

A middle-aged solo parent from Negros Occidental is now living his long-time dream after winning the Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize of ₱35,467,492.71 drawn on May 2, 2026, through a Lucky Pick entry with the winning combination 22-34-42-19-03-25.

The fortunate bettor shared that his winning ticket came unexpectedly during what he considered an ordinary day. According to him, he had just finished buying supplies from the public market for their small sari-sari store when he suddenly remembered to visit his favorite lotto outlet with his last P50.00 left in his pocket.

Instead of using his usual chosen numbers, the winner decided to place two Lucky Pick bets. He even ignored his personal number combination, which later turned out to contain at least four winning digits.

“Parang hindi totoo noong una,” the winner admitted, as he recalled learning about his life-changing prize.

For the Negrosanon winner, the jackpot is more than just a financial breakthrough—it is a reward for years of hope and perseverance. After 15 years of faithfully patronizing lotto games, he described the experience as surreal and a dream come true.

With his newfound fortune, the winner said he plans to prioritize the education of his children, expand their food and retail business, and secure the remaining amount through savings for their family’s future.

Reflecting on his unexpected victory, he simply remarked, “If it’s yours, it’s yours.”
