Pinakamarami mula nang mag-umpisa… 375K doses ng bakuna, naiturok sa isang araw lang

Nakapagtala ng pinakamataas na daily output ang bansa sa pag-administer ng mahigit sa 375,000 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines kahapon.


Sa isang tweet, ayon sa National Task Force Against COVID-19, umabot sa 375,059 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines ang naiturok sa mga mamamayan nitong July 13. “We are starting to get closer to our goal of 500,000 jabs a day and if we are able to do that, we will be able to reach our 70% target population. That’s around 70 million Filipinos to have their first dose in about 130 days,” ani Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa isang pre-SONA forum.


“Hopefully, another two, three months to complete the second dose for the same population of 70 million Filipinos and by then, hopefully, we shall have reached our herd immunity,” dagdag ng kalihim.


Sinabi pa ni Duque na sa ngayon, nasa kabuuang 14 milyong doses ng bakuna ang na-administer ng pamahalaan. Tinatayang 10 milyon indibidwal ang nakatanggap ng unang dose ng COVID-19 vaccine habang nasa 4 milyon ang nakakumpleto ng dalawang shots.


Samantala, dumating ang dagdag na 1 milyong doses ng Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine na gawa ng Chinese firm ngayong umaga. Ang iba pang vaccine brands na inaasahang dumating ngayong buwan ay Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, at Johnson & Johnson.
