Pamilya, kaya raw naging close… PADIR NI ICE, MAY PROSTATE CANCER

Napanood namin ang video na ipinost ni Ice Seguerra habang binabantayan ang amang nasa ospital dahil sa kanser at kahit nasa kama, kumakanta pa rin ang huli ng My Way.

Biro ni Ice, kung nasa labas ang ama, baka nasaksak na dahil nga sa song na kanyang kinakanta.

Anyway, may heartwarming post si Ice sa pagkakasakit ng ama, “Siguro, if there’s one thing na magandang ibinigay sa amin ang cancer ni Daddy, it brought us closer as a family. Kami kasi 'yung tipong pamilyang non-confrontational. Lahat idinadaan sa biro. But like all families, there were unspoken things and old wounds that need to be mended.

"At first, sobrang awkward. Tipong hindi mo alam kung papaano ka magsisimula. Pero nu'ng nagtuluy-tuloy na ang pag-uusap, the words started flowing. Yes, may iyakan, nagkalabasan ng mga sama ng loob sa isa’t isa. We all took turns, my dad, mama, and my brother. After that, pinatawad namin ang isa’t isa at ang mga sarili namin.

"Of course, hindi doon nagtapos ang lahat. As with anything na matagal na hindi napag-usapan, may mga nauungkat pa ring sama ng loob but it’s easier to address it. We became more open, expressive, more understanding of each other’s pain and journey. We hug each other more, give kisses spontaneously. We are happier.

"It’s amazing how the universe always gives us the opportunity to mend broken or strained relationships, you just have to be mindful and seize that opportunity when it presents itself to you.

"Compassion and love. Gratefulness and forgiveness. Freedom and happiness. Nand'yan 'yan, araw-araw. Just be brave and grab that opportunity while you still can. Love will always win.”

Kasama kami sa mga nagdarasal sa paggaling ng ama ni Ice na si Mr. Dick Seguerra na may prostate cancer. Prayers also to Ice's mom na bigyan ng lakas si Mommy Caring sa pag-aalaga sa asawa.
