“He acted beyond his authority”
Ito ang naging pahayag ni Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson sa pag-relieve kay Gen. Nicolas Torre III bilang Philippine National Police.
Nag-ugat aniya ang pagkaalis kay Torre sa kanyang desisyon na kumilos "beyond his authority" nang inalis niya si P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. bilang Deputy Chief for Administration o second-in-command.
“Normally the designation (and relief) of the members of the PNP Command Group - Deputy for Admin, Deputy for Opns and Chief, Directorial Staff should be cleared with the President or at least the ex-officio Chairman of the NAPOLCOM, also the SILG,” ani Lacson.
