Magnitude 7.5 na lindol sa Alaska, tsunami, pinangangambahan

Niyanig ng magnitude 7.5 na lindol ang Alaska noong Lunes at ibinaba ang tsunami warning sa southern coast ng U.S., ayon sa National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.


Babala ng US agency, "Level of tsunami danger is being evaluated." Ayon naman sa tala ng US Geological Survey, tumama ang naturang lindol sa 57 miles (92 km) sa Sand Point at may depth na 25 miles (40km).


Saad pa ng USGS, "low likelihood of casualties and damage" ang inaasahan sa insidente. Tumama rin ang aftershock na 5.0 magnitude kung saan niyanig ang King Cove.


Saad naman ni City Administrator Gary Hennigh, "Residents and cannery workers are evacuating to higher ground until we know more about the tsunami warning.”
