  • Beware of FAKE “PhilHealth ID replacement” text messages

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) warns the public against a text message currently circulating that claims PhilHealth ID cards must be replaced and asks recipients to click a link to proceed.

This message is FAKE. PhilHealth has no ID replacement process that is done through text messages or online links. Scammers can make a text appear to come from an official sender name, and their messages may even show up in the same thread as legitimate PhilHealth messages.

PhilHealth will never send text messages (1) containing links, (2) asking for your password, one-time pin (OTP), or bank and e-wallet details, or (3) asking you to send money or pay any fee.

The public is reminded to only transact through official PhilHealth channels:

·         Local Health Insurance Offices (LHIOs)

·         PhilHealth Member Portal (https://memberinquiry.philhealth.gov.ph/member/)

·         eGovPH Application (e.gov.ph)

To report suspicious messages, contact the PhilHealth Action Center through any of the following official channels:

·         Email: actioncenter@philhealth.gov.ph

·         Facebook: @PhilHealthOfficial

·         Landline: (02) 8662-2588

·         Smart Hotlines: 0998-857-2957 | 0968-865-4670

·         Globe Hotlines: 0917-127-5987 | 0917-110-9812
