Beauty product na nagsabing “Province of China” ang Manila, iimbestigahan

Magsasagawa ng “proper investigation” ang Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa isang beauty product na may packaging na nakasulat na “Province of China” ang Manila.
Ayon sa ulat, nakasulat sa packaging ng Chinese hair care product na gawa ng Ashley Shine Keratin Treatment Deep Repair ang address na “1st Flr. 707 Ito Cristo St., San Nicolas, Manila Province, P.R. China.”
Dahil dito, tinawag ni Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno ang atensiyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) upang magsagawa ng imbestigasyon at nais din niyang ipa-deport ang Chinese nationals na may kinalaman dito.
Saad naman ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, “The DTI, the DOJ, and the BI will conduct a proper investigation and will give the people involved an opportunity to be heard.”
Saad ni Guevarra, sa lalong madaling panahon ay isasagawa ang imbestigasyon pagkatapos ng pormal na pagsasampa ng kaso at aniya ay maaaring may pananagutan dito ang manufacturer o/at distributor ng naturang produkto dahil sa”mislabeling” nito.
Aniya, “And if the product itself has not been approved for local use by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), the violation takes on a more serious character.”
