Matapos sumemplang sa motor.. P-Du30 nag-tungkod sa Japan

Gumamit ng tungkod si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang pananatili sa Japan para sa ginanap na enthronement ceremony ni Japanese Emperor Naruhito.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na kasama ng Pangulo sa Japan.

Sinabi ni Panelo na gumamit ng tungkod ang Presidente upang umasiste sa kanyang paglalakad dahil sumasakit aniya ang likod nito.

“The Palace, however, confirms that the President has attended the enthronement rites earlier today, albeit carrying a cane to assist him in his walk,” sabi ni Panelo.

“While this was unforeseeable, the public can rest assured that there is nothing to worry as regards the physical health and condition of the president as he gives serious priority thereto in actively serving our country,” wika pa ni Panelo.

Sa panig naman ni Senador Christopher “Bong” Go, hindi ginamit ng Punong Ehekutibo ang tungkod sa mismong enthronement ceremony at iniwan lamang ito sa sasakyan.

Matatandaang, nagkaroon ng minor motorcycle accident ang Pangulo sa Presidential Security Guard (PSG) Compound sa Malacañang noong isang linggo, kung saan nagtamo ito ng galos.
