May sakit daw sa likod… JAMES, ATRAS SA PEDRO PENDUKO, 'DI PINIGILAN NG VIVA

TULAD ni Liza Soberano na nag-withdraw sa Darna, as of press time ay umatras na rin si James Reid na gawin ang remake ng Viva Films’ Pedro Penduko dahil din sa health reasons.

Kung si Liza ay finger injury ang rason ng pag-atras, si James naman ay spinal injury.

Narito ang official statement ng Viva Films regarding James’ withdrawal kasabay ng announcement ng kanilang bagong gagawing pelikula:

“Viva Films regretfully announces that it has accepted the withdrawal of James Reid from the movie Pedro Penduko for medical reasons.

“James has spinal injuries and the film Pedro Penduko involves intensive training and major stunts. His regular therapy and treatment prohibit him to train hard or perform for the rigid requirements.

“James has spent over a year training and getting ready for this film and Viva truly appreciates his dedication and commitment to this project. Viva respects James’ decision and wishes him a speedy recovery.

“In the works is a reunion movie with Nadine Lustre. It will be a remake of the hit Korean movie, Spellbound.”

Bago pa man ang withdrawal ni James ay matatan­daang natigil na nga ang kan­yang pagte-training dahil sa tinamong injury.

Samantala, hindi na nili­naw pa ng Viva Films sa statement kung maghahanap ba sila ng kapalit ni James or ise-shelve na ang pelikula.
