MATAPOS ang midterm election na ginanap noong May 13, 2019, nadadawit naman sa vote buying issue ang Wowowin host na si Willie Revillame.

Naghain kasi ng vote buying complaint sa Commission on Elections ang kampo nina Bingbong Crisologo na sinu­su­portahan ng PDP-Laban sa pangu­nguna nina PDP-Laban Secretary General Edwin Rodriguez at PDP-Laban Campaign Manager Mike Defensor kontra sa nanalong mayor at vice-mayor ng Quezon City na sina Joy Belmonte at Gian Sotto.

Sa mayoralty race, nakakuha si Belmonte ng 469,480 votes saman­talang 366,215 lang ang bumoto kay Crisologo.

Samantala, nanalong bise-alkalde ng Kyusi si Sotto na may 382,393 votes, laban sa 343,473 votes ni Jopet Sison ng PDP-Laban.

Isinangkot nina Sec. Gen. Rodri­guez at Defensor ang TV host sa vote buying complaint dahil ina­akusahan nila na namudmod ng pera ang Wo­wo­win host nang ikampanya niya ang kandi­datura ni Belmonte.

“Pabayaan na natin sila,” ang naging reaksiyon lang ng Wowowin host.
