“Let’s run with a purpose. Let’s help these kids with cancer who are now fighting for their lives,” ayon kay Karen Tanchanco-Caballero, isa sa organizers ng Bandana Run sa pagbisita sa 22nd TOPS “Usapang Sports” sa National Press Club sa Intramuros noong Mayo 16.

Ayon kay Tanchanco-Caballero, ang deputy secretary-general ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), inaasahan na makalilikom sila ng pondo para sa Project: Brave Kids of the Philippine Children Medical Center.

“This is our second year. We were able to raise P250,000 last year and donated it to PCMC thru Project: Brave Kids. It’s not a lot but we try to do our own way to help,” ani Tanchanco-Caballero sa weekly sports forum na hatid ng Philippine Sports Commission, National Press Club, PAGCOR, Community Basketball Association.

Hopefully, we can surpass last year’s field of over 400 participants — fun runners and even serious runners,” aniya na head din ng Philippine Sepak Takraw Association.

Pinasalamatan ni Tanchanco-Caballero si Diaz at ang national athletes mula sa Go For Gold ni sports patron Jeremy Go sa pagsuporta sa event.

“We’re very happy for Hidilyn to help us in this worthy cause. We’re being supported by Go For Gold athletes, and national athletes from sepak takraw, muay and triathlon.”
