CAGE GLADIATORS AT HITMAN MMA SA FIGHT NIGHT NINA BIRON AT WOONG

PAG-ANGAT sa antas ng kompetisyon sa Philippine local MMA scene ang target ni Laurence Canavan ng Cage Gladiators at ni Burn Soriano ng Hitman MMA nang itaguyod ang all-star cast sa aabangang Fight Night III event sa Abril 14, Linggo sa Sky Dome sa SM North EDSA.

Itatampok sa ikatlong serye ng Fight Night sina MUMMA Fight Club Jeffrey “Hitman” Biron bilang headline sa main event kontra Extreme Combat’s Kim Jae Woong sa three-round featherweight contest.

Sa co-main bout, magbabakbakan sina Sprawl MMA’s Miguel Alo at Extreme Combat’s Min Hyeok Lee sa lightweight division. “It’s the third Fight Night. This is very exciting kasi ‘yung maglalaban is Korea versus Philippines. This is the best first time that we invited the best of the Korean fighters para pumunta at lumaban sa event dito,” ani Soriano sa ‘Usapang Sports’ sa TOPS.

Ang pagbubukas ng Fight Night series sa foreign fighters ay dati nang konsepto at nakikita na nina Canavan at Soriano ang bunga nito para sa upcoming 10-bout slate na exciting ang showcase sa paghaharap ng hebigat na local fighters.

“Siguro it’s in our traces already, way, way back in the days of our hero Lapu-Lapu. Naniniwala ako sa mga Pinoy na may knockout power talaga, ‘yun talaga ang gift nila,” ani Soriano.

Tumutulong din ang event sa paghasa ng local MMA talents sa mas malaking promosyon at matulungan ang mga hikahos sa buhay na fighters ng PHL MMA. “I believe in giving back to the community. I’ve done a lot of programs for the poor children like feeding programs, but one of my passions is really MMA. When I found out about the fighters here, and I started to take a closer look at the fighters, we really have a deep talent pool in this country for MMA. Eventually I find out that there’s no assistance for them, so I formed a non-profit organization,” saad ni Canavan.
