DASMARIÑAS AT 4 PA, SASAGUPA SA SINGAPORE RINGSTAR BOXING

LIMANG Pinoy ang nakatakdang sumalang sa Ringstar Boxing ng “Ridhwan Ambunda II - The Rematch,” sa Marso 29, 2019 sa Singapore Indoor Stadium. Sa pangunguna ni IBO World Bantamweight champion Michael “Gloves on Fire” Dasmariñas (28-2-1), ang laban ay magiging co-main event. Makasasagupa ni Dasmariñas ang kapwa Pinoy na si Kenny “Big Heart” Demecillo (14-4-2) mula sa Cebu City para sa IBF World Title Eliminator fight. Ito rin ang ikaapat na laban ni Michael Dasmariñas sa ilalim ng Ringstar banner.

Malayo na ang nararating ng pride of Camarines Sur na dati nang sinunog ang kanyang gloves ng isang kaanak noong 9-anyos pa lang siya, dahil na rin sa hilig niya sa boksing. Nagwagi siya kamakailan ng IBO World Bantamweight title noong Abril sa Singapore. Si Demecillo ay dating WBF Intercontinental Bantamweight champion, at dating 2-time WBF Asia Pacific Bantamweight Champion.

Ayon kay Ringstar’s Founder at CEO Scott Farrell, “The world is starting to know that Michael “Gloves on Fire” Dasmariñas does have a lot of power, and a good chin. As a fighter, Michael has shown that he is vulnerable against a busy fighter. But that’s the only real hard criticism I have about him. In the past, he hasn’t been recognised or celebrated as much as the other world champions from the Philippines, and often overlooked. But now, that he is with Ringstar, this is changing rapidly, and Michael and his fights are receiving global interest. I truly believe Michael has the talent to go all the way, but he needs to focus more on his craft, and improve another 1000%, if he is truly going to be a world-renowned great fighter.”

Tatlo pang Pinoy sa fight card ay sina 25-year old Reymond Yanong (9-4-1), na haharapin si New Zealand Cairo George (16-1-0), para sa WBC Asia Silver Super Lightweight Title; 32-year old Rey “The Future” Caitom (7-0-1), kontra Hans Raj Takur (3-1-0) ng India para sa Light Flyweight Division. Ang 26-anyos na si Lorenz Michael “Magic Mike” Romarante, (11-1-1), ay haharap kay 28-year old Yuya “The Problem” Nakamura (9-2-1) ng Japan para sa Super Flyweight division. (MC)
