In line with its commitment to public service, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) conducted a community-based outreach activity in Lipa, Batangas on January 9, 2026, delivering essential assistance to underserved sectors.

The initiative was led by PCSO Chairman Judge Felix Reyes, together with Directors Jennifer Guevara and Imelda Papin, and PCSO Batangas Branch Manager Brenda de Guzman. The initiative aimed to bring direct and timely assistance to underserved sectors, reinforcing PCSO’s commitment to accessible and responsive public service.

One of the beneficiaries, Ms. Turiana Suarez, a resident of San Benito, Lipa City, received ₱50,000.00 in medical assistance to help her family cover her hospital expenses. The assistance was requested through the Office of the Chairman and was personally handed over by the Chairman, reaffirming the agency’s unwavering dedication to bringing hope and relief to Filipinos in their most difficult moments.

In addition, a total of 2,000 Charitimba were distributed to residents of Barangays San Benito, Sto. Toribio, San Francisco, and San Celestino in Lipa City, most of whom were senior citizens. The outreach likewise extended support to education, with 80 college students from the same barangays receiving educational assistance to help them pursue their academic goals.

PCSO officials emphasized that the program aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to bring government programs and services closer to the people, particularly to those who need them most. Through initiatives like this, PCSO continues to strengthen its role as a partner of Filipinos in promoting welfare, resilience, and hope for a better future.

This outreach activity was implemented under PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which underscores the agency’s sustained commitment to inclusive development, social equity, and nation-building by ensuring that vital assistance reaches communities where it is needed most.

Mandaluyong City, Philippines — Dreams came true for two lucky women, a senior

citizen from Los Baños, Laguna, and a housewife from Caloocan City, after they split

the staggering ₱104,548,763.10 jackpot in the SuperLotto 6/49 draw of the Philippine

Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on January 8, 2026.

Both claimed their prizes at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City on January 12,

2026.

The winning combination 09-11-30-12-24-26 was chosen by both winners using their

family members’ birthdates. Each ticket costs only ₱20.00, proving that even small bets

can lead to life-changing fortunes.

For the senior citizen, the win was the culmination of more than three decades of

persistence. She revealed plans to share her prize with her three siblings, who are also

elderly and unemployed. She also hopes to invest in a house and lot and start her own

family business.

“Mahigit tatlong dekada na ako sumusubok sa lotto at umaasa din na manalo para

mabago ang aking kapalaran. Mahirap at matanda na ako gusto ko naman guminhawa

ang buhay namin ng pamilya ko. Babahaginan ko din ang mga kapatid ko” she said.

Her advice to fellow lotto players was simple yet heartfelt, “Sa mga mananaya huwag

kayo mawawalan ng pagasa. May awa ang Diyos sa mga naniniwala sa kanya.”

The second winner, a 38-year-old housewife, has been an occasional lotto player for

more than a decade. While still undecided on how to use her share of the jackpot, she

intends to save a portion and treat the prize as a blessing from God.

Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20% tax is

automatically deducted from prizes above ₱10,000.

The SuperLotto 6/49 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:00 p.m. via

live telecast on IBC-13 and D8TV. Winning numbers and other PCSO game details are

available on the official PCSO website and Facebook page.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), under the leadership of General

Manager Melquiades Robles, held a simple turnover ceremony for its latest medical

assistance initiative on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the PCSO Conservatory Building

in Mandaluyong City.

Representing the agency during the ceremony were Medical Services Department

Manager Dr. Clarissa Ferrer and Division Chief III Dr. Rouel Aparato. The beneficiary of

the donation was the lone district of Baguio, represented by Congressman Mauricio

Domogan, with Paulo Dela Cruz attending the event on his behalf.

PCSO turned over various boxes of essential medicines amounting to ₱30,000. The

donated supplies will support the district’s ongoing health programs, particularly medical missions and outreach activities aimed at assisting marginalized residents and senior citizens who have limited access to healthcare support.

According to PCSO, the initiative forms part of the agency’s continuing commitment to

extend medical aid to communities nationwide through its Medicine Donation Program,

one of the key components of its broader charity mandate. The agency emphasized that

such efforts are aligned with its mission to reinforce local health services and strengthen

public access to life-saving medications.

PCSO officials expressed optimism that the donation will help alleviate the medical

needs of Baguio residents and reinforce the district’s community health engagements.

The agency reaffirmed its dedication to sustaining medical and humanitarian assistance

programs, echoing its well-known commitment: “PCSO Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong!.”
