On September 8, 2025, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), through the initiative of Director Janet De Leon Mercado, turned over medical equipment to Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School (CAYSMNHS). The donation included four nebulizers, four blood pressure apparatus, and four oxygen tanks.

The equipment was warmly received by Virgilio Ramos, Principal of CAYSMNHS, along with the school’s doctors and nurses. According to Ramos, “These medical supplies will be a great help in ensuring that the health needs of our students are properly addressed and taken care of.”

Following the turnover, Director Mercado immediately proceeded to the Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary, where 15 families who lost their homes in a fire incident at Rowenas Garden, Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, last September 5, 2025, are temporarily sheltered. Together with Barangay Councilor Christian Carlos Cruz, Director Mercado led the distribution of 15 ChariTimba food packs as a way to extend PCSO’s continued support and compassion for the affected residents.

This initiative is part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which aims to deliver assistance and support for the health and welfare of the Filipino youth and communities in need.
