Nagbabala ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kay Sen. Imee Marcos dahil sa mga alegasyon na ipinukol nito kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at sa First Family na gumagamit umano ng ilegal na droga.
“It probably borders on libelous statements because she was speaking in public, she was making allegations, accusations against several people, not only the President, and libel is simply; When it’s not true, then it’s libelous,” ayon kay NBI Officer-In-Charge Atty. Angelito Magno.
Gayunpaman, sinabi niya na magpo-proceed lamang ang kasong libel kung may magsasampa ng kaso ang kahit na sino sa mga inakusahan ni Sen. Imee
“Usually, the one who files a libel case is the one being alluded to,” saad pa nito.
