May insentibo na ang 2019 SEAG coaches

May halos P45-milyong piso ang nakalaan bilang cash incentives sa may 182 national coaches nang simulan na nang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang paglalabas ng tseke noong Miyerkules kasunod ng overall championship ng Team Philippines sa nagdaang 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Sa ilalim ng probisyon ng Republic Act No. 10699 na kilala ring National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, ang national coaches na may gold medal finish ay makatatanggap ng P150,000.00, silver medal finish ay may P75,000.00 habang ang bronze medal finish ay may P30,000.00 sa SEA Games level.

Isinaad pa sa batas, “the incentives for the coaches shall be equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the cash incentives for gold, silver and bronze medalists. In case of more than one (1) coach, the cash incentives shall be divided among themselves.”

Ang computation ng cash incentives ay base sa pagsumite ng certification requirements at profile na inilaan ng national sports associations maging ng medalist-athlete. “A coach can only receive his/her incentives upon submission of required certifications and documents,” ayon kay PSC-NSA Affairs Office Head Annie Ruiz.

Ang national coaches ng arnis, athletics, beach handball, billiards, bowling, boxing, cycling, dancesports, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, modern pentathlon, muay, pencak silat, rowing, sailing, sambo, sepak takraw, soft tennis, soft tennis, softball, squash, taekwondo, tennis, weightlifting, windsurfing and wrestling ang mga unang batch na makatatanggap ng kanilang insentibo.

Ang susunod na batch ng coaches ay nakaiskedyul na makatanggap ng insentibo ay ang archery, baseball, canoe, fencing, judo, lawn bowls, obstacle course, swimming, traditional boat race at volleyball.
