'Di matanggap… Iza, kumantang nasasaktan sa pagkukumpara sa kanila ni Juday

Nagsalita na si Iza Calzado kaugnay ng walang humpay na pagsasabong ng mga avid fans sa mga celebrity women especially sa mga kasama sa magaganap na Metro Manila Film Festival 2019.

Isa si Iza sa mga magbibida sa Culion movie at napakaraming nagkukumpara sa kanila ni Judy Ann Santos na bida naman sa pelikulang Mindanao.

Sey ni Iza sa show ni Tito Boy Abunda na Tonight with Boy Abunda, “Sa ‘kin lang, parang ‘Ano ba? Kaka-announce lang, ni hindi n’yo pa nga napapanood ‘yung pelikula, eh.’ Agad-agad ba, ‘yun ang magiging promotional slant natin when we can work on other areas?

“It saddens me, it pains me because some people actually take the bait. Fortunately, I’m good friends with these people like my co-stars, and Juday or other people… Meryll (Soriano), Jasmine (Curtis) and Julie Anne and the other… like Bela (Padilla) or whoever.

“But what if, ang natanong ninyo is somebody who’s not prepared for that mentally, emotionally? These things can actually exaggerate into bigger things.”

Dito na nabanggit ni Tito Boy na kailangan ding ma-address ang ilang mga bagay at aniya ay napi-feel niya ang aktres. Sey ni Tito Boy, “I don’t know how you react when people say ‘Kailan ka magkakaanak? Kailan ka magkaka-baby?’ ‘Di ba? Alam naman nating… it something that bothers me, really.”

Sabi naman ni Iza, “That’s also true because this is my body, these are my choices and you have to respect it. But sometimes, people just… of course they come from a place of ‘concern,’ but especially even those who come from a place of concern, mape-pressure at mape-pressure pa rin especially if you’re that kind of person.

“Eh, ako kasi, hindi ako nape-pressure kasi, to be honest, like I said, I’m working through a lot pa so I’m actually not even mentally and emotionally ready.

Physically, I’m ready but… just a few more things… but I think I’m getting there so hopefully by end of next year.”

About surrogacy naman, sey ni Iza, “Not immediately. What if I actually like it? Because I’m not that young anymore.”
