Mula nang huling magsama 6 yrs ago... Suzy, ibinulgar ang mga nabago kay Lee Seung GI

Finally, ngayong gabi (Sept. 20) ay matutunghayan na ang most anticipated at isa sa pinakamalaking Korean drama ng taon, ang Vagabond ng SBS na pinagbibidahan ng South Korean Superstar na si Lee Seung Gi at ng isa rin sa pinakasikat na singers/actresses na si Suzy.

Isang taon ding hinintay ng mga fans ng dalawa ang naturang drama dahil as early as last year ay sinimulan na nila itong gawin. Sa announcement pa lang na may napakalaking budget na 25 billion won (mahigit isang bilyon sa Philippine peso) ang naturang spy-action series ay na-excite na agad ang mga fans.

Nagkaroon ng press conference sa South Korea ang Vagabond last Sept. 16 na dina­luhan nina Lee Seung Gi, Suzy at iba pang cast na sina Shin Sung Rok, Hwang Bo Ra at Moon Jeong Hee at lahat sila ay proud na proud kung gaano kaganda lumabas ang series na kinunan pa sa Morocco at Portugal ang karamihan sa mga eksena.

Sa nasabing presscon ay natanong sina Lee Seung Gi at Suzy kung hindi ba sila na-pressure sa 25 billion won budget at ayon sa Triple Threat Superstar, dahil daw sa husay ng direktor at production team ay wala siyang naramdamang pressure while filming.

“Our director and all the production crew were such perfect people, so. . .It’s not unusual to get this feeling, ‘Will this drama do well?’ But they really were flawless in every way.

“They also somehow managed to make the story more fun than the script to the point where nobody’s imagination could go any futher. So, I was free from that sort of pressure. The only thing I had to do was to focus on acting my character, Cha Dal-geon. I felt really comfortable throughout our shooting,” pahayag ni Lee Seung Gi.

Ayon naman kay Suzy, sa bawat project na ginagawa niya ay talagang nakaka­ramdam siya ng pressure.

“But our team worked extremely hard for the past year on this so we were able to wrap up the shooting well,” sey ni Suzy.

Ang Vagabond ay reunion project din nina Lee Seung Gi at Suzy after six years. Una silang nagkasama sa Gu Family Book in 2013 kaya naman natanong din sila kung ku­mus­­tang makatrabaho ang isa’t isa pagkatapos ng anim na taon.

“Yes, it’s been six years since I worked with Lee Seung Gi. I only have good me­mories from that time. When I heard that we were going to work together again, I was so happy.

“The fact that it was our second time working together made it easier for us this time,” pahayag ni Suzy.

Ayon naman kay Seung Gi, sa pangala­wang pagsasama nila ni Suzy ay na-amaze siya sa ipinakitang husay nito sa pag-arte.

“I believe the chances of working with the same actor/actress again is pretty low especially with an unbelievably popular actress like Suzy.

“When I reunited with Suzy, I noticed how amazing Suzy’s acting was. I mean she was amazing back then as well, but I was like, ‘What an incredible actress!’ She had a great attitude and was always smiling during the shooting.

“Our shooting was physically demanding, you know, but I haven’t seen her frown even for a second,” ani Seung Gi.

Inamin din ni Lee Seung Gi na nakatulong ang military experience niya sa kanyang mga action scenes sa Vagabond.

“People laugh when I tell them about my life in the military because they think I’m still crazy about it. Let me make it clear here, I’m no longer that obsessed about it. I still do feel a sense of pride about that I was part of the Republic of Korea Army though.

“When I was there, I learned the importance of the military. I honestly have learned a lot. The basic things like using a gun helped me quite a bit during our shooting. Those things gave me confidence when filming action scenes,” saad ni Seung Gi.

Pinatunayan naman ni Suzy na mas na­ging maliksi talaga ngayon ang aktor.

“I have filmed some action scenes with Seung Gi in our past drama but after he became a military-obsessed guy, he has become more agile. He also has lost some fat on his face and gained some muscles all over. I definitely felt like he had become more light on his feet than before,” sabi ni Suzy.

Nang mapag-usapan kung ano ang rating promise ng cast for Vagabond, ang isa sa main cast na si Shin Sung Rok ang nag-predict na around 30% daw ang hula niyang magiging ratings ng pilot episode.

“I can assure you that this drama will be a mega-hit. I can dare say so. Well, I think it will be a success because I’ve experienced many new things myself and felt many things while shooting in the film site. Watching our videos there made me feel that this drama will be an out-of-this-world one. We assumed so while working. I think, watchers will feel the same as we did.

“So, I think, this time it’ll be even more successful,” saad ni Shin Sung Rok.

Ang Vagabond ay worldwide mapapa­nood sa Netflix starting tonight sa 190 countries around the world kabilang na ang Pilipinas.
