SPEAKING of Martin, sa nasabing presscon ay ipinahayag ng Concert King na masa­ya siya for his ex-wife Pops Fer­nandez sa pagkakapili rito bilang isa sa mga judges ng international talent search show na The World’s Best.

Pops will be representing the Philippines at sey nga ni Martin, this is a big break for the Concert Queen to make it in the international scene.

Natanong nga siya kung totoo bang bago si Pops ay siya dapat ang judge sa nasabing global talent search at inamin naman niya ito.

“I already got it. They had a whole list of people na “for sure”, ‘yung mga “for sure” choices. So I went on a FaceTime audition which I’ve never done and they asked me these questions and I was just being myself and they said, ‘Okay, you’re in, this is exactly what we’re looking for, ’” kuwento ni Martin.

Pero nagkaroon ng problema sa schedule dahil natapat na ang mga taping days ng show ay may naka-schedule siyang concert. He tried to adjust his commitments pero too late na raw.

Hindi na raw kayang i-move pa ang mga commitments niya at hindi rin naman daw puwedeng mag-adjust ang show na dapat sana’y international break niya.

“They said, ‘I’m sorry, Martin, we really want you, we already organized your taping days but we can’t meet the days of your concerts. So, do you know anyone else that you think could play the role?’” saad ng Concert King.

At dito nga raw niya sinabi ang pangalan ng kanyang ex-wife na incidentally ay nasa list din pala.

Ang nakakatuwa, tina­nong daw siya kung bakit niya kilala si Pops na ikinagulat niya. Ang isinagot daw niya ay “Well, we have 2 kids,” at ibi­naba na raw ‘yung phone dahil akala ay nagbibiro siya.

Nang malaman daw ng mga ito ang buong kuwento, tinanong siya kung puwede silang kuning dalawa as the judges pero gustuhin man niya, his schedules won’t permit him.

“So they went to Pops straight and they were able to fix her schedules so that she could be there for the taping days,” pagkukuwento pa ni Martin.

“I’m just so happy that she had this big break and really rooting for her that she represents the country well. Remember, there were 50 other countries being represented there, so we don’t know yet how much air time the Philippines through Pops will have, but the fact that she’s already there representing us, I’m truly, truly very proud. They made the right choice,” he said.

Samantala, sanay na sanay na sina Martin and Lani na kapag Valentine’s Day ay nagtatrabaho sila at binibigyan nila ng happiness and entertainment ang mga taong nagse-celebrate ng Araw ng mga Puso.

Hindi na nga mabilang kung pang-ilang Valentine’s show na nila ito individually kaya naman hindi na raw sila naghahangad pa talaga na mag-celebrate ng sarili nilang Valentine’s Day with their respective partner.

Dahil nga Timeless Classics ang title ng show, mga timeless classics ang kani­lang aawitin from way back para ma-feel good naman daw ang mga couples celebrating V-Day.

Gaganapin ang Timeless Classics sa mismong Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 8 PM at the PICC Plenary Hall under the musical direction of Louie Ocampo.
