Dinuruan at binugbog, tinutukan ng kutsilyo… XIAN, IKINANTANG NAGING BIKTIMA NG BULLYING

DAHIL sa talk of the town na viral video ng bullying incident kung saan ay involved ang mga high school students ng Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, maraming celebrities ang nagpahayag ng kanilang reaksiyon at isa na rito si Xian Lim who revealed na biktima rin siya ng bullying when he was 12 years old.
Nag-upload si Xian ng mga larawan niya noong high school student pa lang siya at ikinuwento ang karanasan sa bullying na may titulong NO TO BULLYING. NO TO HARASSMENT. NO TO “POWER TRIPPING.”
Simula ni Xian, “I just really have to speak up about this current issue we have right now. I do not usually rant on my social media pages so please forgive me on this one.”
He went on, “First let me explain. This is my picture back in middle school. I was about 12. I had no friends. I was called a loser for being an introvert and not knowing how to talk to other kids.
“I was called FOB for having a really strong accent. Kids would beat me up and spit on me and made my life hell. I didn’t want to go to school. I made up excuses and told my mom I felt sick. I did not feel safe.”
Sinabihan din daw siya na sasaksakin kapag nagsumbong. May time pa raw na umiyak siya sa harap ng buong klase. May pagkakataon ding binugbog siya nang magsalita.
“One time I cried in front of the whole class because people would laugh and quietly say bad things about me. It made me a miserable kid. This made me hate school. I spoke up one time and snitched which resulted in me getting beat up some more, kicked in the face and have a knife pointed in my neck.
“So I stayed quiet. I ate my lunch in the bathroom. I kept my lunch money in my underwear just in case I get ‘pocket checked.’
“You do not want this to happen to your kids, trust me. You do not want this to happen to your brothers and sisters. You do not want this to happen to anyone. It has to stop.
“Huge mistake I made was I kept quiet because I was scared. I did not tell my parents. I did not tell the authorities. I just let things happen,” pahayag pa ng aktor.
Kaya naman ang payo niya sa mga taong dumaranas ng naranasan niya ay magsalita rin.
“If you’re being bullied right now, please speak up. We are here for you. There are others like you who feel scared and defeated. Life is precious. Life is short. Our time in this world given to us is not enough. Do whatever means necessary to have a happy, balanced life.”
Bilang pangwakas, sinabi ng aktor na willing siyang makipagtulungan sa anumang organisasyon.
“If there are any organization who need me, please reach out. DM me,” pagtatapos ni Xian.
Umani ng katakut-takot na likes, comments at simpatya ang kuwentong ito ni Xian. Pero ang pinakaimportante, nagsilbi rin itong inspirasyon sa mga taong dumanas o dumaranas ng pinagdaanan niya. Sa comments section ay napakarami ring nagkuwento ng kanilang karanasan sa bullying.
Good job, Xian!
