Pinay YouTuber na si Mika Salamanca, inaresto sa Hawaii

Batay sa kasunduan ng Pilipinas at ADB, gagamitin ang naturang pondo para sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) o ayuda sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipinong naapektuhan ng COVID-19.


Inaresto ng awtoridad ng Honolulu, Hawaii ang Pinay YouTuber na may mahigit 2.3 million followers na si Mika Salamanca nitong Biyernes dahil sa diumano’y paglabag sa quarantine rules.

Nag-post si Mika ng kanyang TikTok video kung saan makikitang nagsasayaw siya sa isang store. Ayon sa Hawaii Tourism Authority, July 6 nang dumating si Mika sa Honolulu at 4 days pa lang ang nakalilipas nang pumunta siya sa public place.

Ayon sa KITV4 ABC Island News, lumabag si Mika sa mandatory 14-day quarantine rule.

Saad naman ni Mika, "Inaamin ko po na nagkamali ako noong time na dumating ako dito sa Hawaii at agad po kaming lumabas.

"As far as I can remember na-settle na namin ‘yun. Sila po mismo nagsabi sakin na, 'You're not in trouble. If you're negative, you can go out.'

"Kung meron po talaga akong nilabag, feeling ko dapat ngayon nasa presinto na ako. Pero lahat ng law enforcers na nakausap namin sinabi na we're not in trouble and we're good."

Saad naman ni Attorney General Calre E. Connors, "None of my investigators would convey that information, as it is incorrect. The fact that Ms. Salamanca has so many followers makes her actions that much more dangerous and concerning. The spread of misinformation can have very severe consequences during an emergency situation like we are in now."
