Death at accident injuries sasakupin sa SEAG insurance

Malaking bahagi ng tulong ang suporta na ibinibigay ng Standard Insurance sa nalalapit na 30th Southeast Asian Games at iyan naman ang tiniyak ni SI Group chairman Ernesto “Jude” Echauz.

“We’ve done it in other sports, like cyvling and gymastics. We’ll do it again in the SEA Games,” ayon kay Echauz nang dumalo sa 48th “Usapang Sports” ng Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) sa National Press Club sa Intramuros noong Nob. 14. “Our estimate is that there will be around 25,000 participants covered under this policy.

It covers athletes, officials, volunteers and even media,” dagdag ni Echauz sa weekly public service program na inisponsoran ng Philippine Sports Commission, National Press Club, PAGCOR, at Community Basketball Association.

Nilagdaan ang MOA ng SI bilang official insurer ng 30th SEAG nina Echauz at PSC Chairman at Philippine chef de mission William “Butch” Ramirez noong Nob. 5 “Each covered person will have P300,000 insurance coverage.

The declaration of covered persons shall come from PHISGOC,” dagdag ni Echauz, na siya ring pangulo ng Philippine Sailing Association at main benefactor ng cycling at duathlon teams.

Ang coverage period mula Oct. 13 hanggang Dis. 15. Base sa agreement, ang policy ay ikokober ang death at accident-related injuries, kasama na rin ang anumang sport related injuries tulad ng training o in-game injuries.

Ang sports injuries na galing sa sabotahe at acts of terrorism ay nasa policy coverage.
