Inisnab, laglag sa festival, rumesbak… Movie ni Maricel, uunahan ang MMFF
Siguradong sumama ang loob ng PMPC member at diehard Maricel Soriano fan na si Rommel Placente sa pang-iisnab ng MMDA Committee sa entry ng Diamond Star na The Heiress, Regal Films’ new horror, para makasama sa taunang MMFF entries.
Makakasama rito ni Maricel sina Janella Salvador ng The Killer Bride fame at McCoy de Leon ng It’s Showtime’s Hashtags.
Sa socmed na lang ipinaalam ni Direk Franco Mortiz ang pagkalungkot sa hindi pagkapili sa kanyang entry sa taunang pestibal.
Pero kahit hindi nakapasok sa MMFF, mas aagahan na lamang daw nila ang showing ng kanilang pelikula this November bago pa ang filmfest sa December, 2019.
“The bad news: Hindi kami nakapasok sa MMFF. The good news: The Heiress will be shown on November 27!” tweet ni Direk Mortiz.
Ang announcement ni Direk Mortiz came in time for the release of the official line-up for the 2019 MMFF, which will include a total of eight entries, namely: The Mall, The Merrier; Mindanao; Miracle In Cell No. 7; 3Pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon; Sunod; Culion; Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity; and Write About Love.
The Heiress centers on the story of Luna (Maricel), a mambabarang or a powerful demon sorceress, who will stop at nothing to keep to herself her young niece, Guila (Janella).
