Nanawagan sa mga kalahi sa LGBTQIA na magkaisa sila… HIRIT NI VICE: KABAKLAAN, DAPAT ITURO SA ISKUL
ISA sa mga pinakasikat na bituing dumalo sa Mega Equality Ball last Independence Day (June 12) ay ang It’s Showtime host na si Vice Ganda.
Vice arrived with her newly formed ‘house’ that was inspired by the American TV series, Pose.
Tinawag niyang House of Ganda, kasama rito ni Vice sina Awra Briguela, Mimiyuuuh, G Force dancers Jorge and Michael, former Miss Q and A candidate Koko Artadi, and Pinoy Drag Queens Turing Quinto and Stephania.
Sa isang panayam ng Push.com kay Vice, aniya, gusto niyang maging ‘solid’ ang mga members ng LGBTQIA+ community sa kabila ng pagkakaibaiba ng opinyon at pananaw nila sa bawat isyu.
“I [think] that the LGBT [community] itself is broken. I believe that the LGBT must be solid, and must be able to resolve all their issues.
“Para maipaglaban natin nang magkakasama kung anuman ang gusto naming ipaglaban.
Kasi as of now, it’s diversified and everyone has their own opinion, and that’s okay.
Pero dapat, at the end of the day, we’re solid, we fight as one, we have one advocacy and that is for everyone’s equality,” sabi ng Gandang Gabi Vice host.
Sabi rin ni Vice, para makapag-contribute sa advocacy ng gay rights, dapat ay maging educated muna ang mga mismong advocates sa “Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression” or SOGIE.
“First, I believe they must educate themselves. Everyone must be able to understand what is LGBTQIA+, what kind of people they are, because if you don’t understand the person, then you don’t fully embrace his/her totality.
“You have to understand, that’s why I firmly believe that SOGIE must be taught in schools,”paliwanag pa ni Vice.
