MAY bago na namang lumutang na rebelasyon dahil sa imbestigasyong isinasagawa ngayon ng mga pulis hinggil sa kasong illegal filming of women and sexual activities na kinasasangkutan ng singer na si Jung Joon Young.

Dahil isinumite ng singer ang kanyang cellphone sa pulisya, nakita rito na may chatroom din ang grupo ng reality show na 2 Days & 1 Night ng KBS kung saan ay isa nga sa cast members si Jung Joon Young.

Sa report na inilabas ng 9 O’Clock News ng KBS1TV last March 16, nadis­kubre sa cellphone ni Jung Joon Young ang tungkol sa gambling activities naman ng dalawa sa cast members ng 2D1N na sina Kim Joon Ho and Cha Tae Hyun.

Ayon sa report, noong July 1, 2016, ipi­nost daw ni Cha Tae Hyun sa group chat ang mga pictures ng perang napana­lunan niya sa golf game.

“This is the money I won from betting on our golf game,” ang sabi raw ni Cha Tae Hyun.

Noong July 19 of the same year, muling nag-share si Cha Tae Hyun ng larawan ng pera and wrote in Korean and translated in English by Soompi, “Today, (Kim) Joon Ho won 2.6 million won (approximately $2,293), and I won 2.25 million won (approximately $1,984)… this is the money I won.”

Matapos ang report ng 9 O’Clock News last Saturday, kahapon ay nag-issue na ng statement si Cha Tae Hyun announ­cing his plans to step down from all of his shows including 2D1N.

“Hello. This is Cha Tae Hyun. First, I’m incredibly sorry…

“Contrary to what was said in the reports, I did not golf abroad. We golfed together in Korea, thinking it was a fun game, and I returned the money immediately at the time. Although it was something we did for fun, after seeing what I posted in the group chat, I feel overwhelmingly ashamed. As a public figure who has received lots of love, I consider [my actions] to be completely unacceptable.

“I’m incredibly sorry to my fans, whom I have disappointed through this matter, and to the viewers who have given their love to 2 Days & 1 Night…

“I’m truly sorry that the other members (of 2 Days & 1 Night) will be negatively affected by my behavior. Therefore, as of now, I intend to step down from all of my programs.

“As the father of a family, I’m extremely sorry to my children and to my family, and I will take time to reflect on my own actions. I apologize,” ang nakasaad sa statement ni Cha Tae Hyun na isinalin sa English ng Soompi portal.

Regarding Kim Joon Ho’s involvement, nag-issue naman ng statement ang kanyang agency na JDB Entertainment and stated, “We are currently in the process of checking (with Kim Joon Ho). We will inform you when we have figured out the situation.”

Tulad ng naisulat namin dito sa K-Buzz kahapon, nag-announce na ang producer ng 2D1N na “on indefinite hiatus” ang show dahil sa kasong kinasasang­kutan ng miyembrong si Jung Joon Young.

Isa na naman itong dagok sa programa dahil ngayon ay lalong nabawasan na ang tsansang maibalik pa sa ere ang 2D1N lalo pa nga’t most likely ay sumunod na rin daw si Kim Joon Ho na magbitiw sa show.

Ang daming nalulungkot for Cha Tae Hyun na dahil lang sa cellphone ay natapos ang career nito. Ang iba naman ay nag­tatanong sa thread kung illegal ba ang pagsusugal sa South Korea and some answered “yes” especially kung malaking amount ang involved at sobrang big deal din ito lalo na kung public figure ka.

Si Cha Tae Hyun ay sumikat sa peli­kulang My Sassy Girl noong 2001 kung saan ay leading man siya ni Jun Ji Hyun. He’s a singer, actor, TV personality, radio DJ and director. Bukod sa 2D1N, isa rin siya sa mga hosts ng talk show na Radio Star na kasalukuyang napapanood sa MBC.
