WANTED: SEAG ATHLETES SA IDARAOS NA NATIONWIDE SKATEBOARDING COMPETITION

SA hangad makatuklas ng magagaling na manlalaro na kasing galing ni Asian Games gold medallist Margielyn Didal na kakatawan sa 2019 Southeast Asian Games, magsasagawa ang Skateboarding Association of the Philippines Go-for-Gold nationwide competition tampok ang mga promising skateboarders galing sa iba’t-ibang panig nang bansa.

Magsisimula ang torneo sa Luzon sa Robinson’s Mall sa Novaliches sa March 23-24 tampok ang mga manlalarong mula sa iba’t-ibang lalawigan sa Luzon. Ang Visayas leg ay sa Cebu sa Abril 6-7 at sa Mindanao sa Mayo 25-26 sa General Santos City.

Ang national qualifiers ay gagawin sa Sta. Rosa, Laguna kung saan ang top 3 sa regional ay magkakaroon ng pagkakataon na ipakita ang kanilang SEAG form na aarangkada sa Nobyembre sa New Clark City Sports Complex.

“We are staging three legs events primarily to tap young promising talents in the calibre of Didal to strengthen our medal campaign in the SEA Games. I am pretty optimistic we can tap new talents because skateboarding is now very popular in the country following the golden performance of Didal in the Asian Games,” sabi ni association president Monte Mendegoria sa press conference kung saan idinetalye niya ang mga mahalagang bagay tungkol sa torneo.

“Didal is already qualified. We are finding many high calibres players to join forces with Didal to solidify our medal campaign and help the Philippines win many medals,” wika ni Mendegoria.
