Naging emosyonal si Miss Uni­verse 2018 Catriona Gray sa kan­­yang pagharap sa media sa presscon na ginanap sa Novotel nu’ng Miyerkules. Naramdaman daw kasi niyang napakainit ng pagsalubong ng mga supporters sa kanyang pagbabalik-bansa.

Bukod dito, muli niyang nakita ang mga taong tumulong sa pagkamit niya ng kanyang mga pangarap.

“Seeing everyone from Binibini and of course, Madame Stella (Araneta), they were the ones who gave me the opportunity to even pursue Miss Universe.”

Sa kanyang pagbabalik-bansa, ipag­papatuloy ni Catriona ang kawa­­ng­gawa at pagtulong sa mga ka­bataan ng Young Focus sa Tondo, Maynila. Bibigyang-pansin din niya ang HIV campaign.

“It is a problem that not only addresses so many, but young people. Fifteen to twenty-four years old is the majority of the new HIV cases. So when you think about it, these are teen-agers, these are kids that may still be in school that haven’t even had the chance to go out and pursue their dreams.”

Sa tanong naman kung crown o love life (si Clint Bondad ang BF ni Catriona), hindi nag-alin­langan si Catriona at agad niyang pinili ang crown.

“The crown. Muna. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and being away and the distance and everything. I’m a very focused person and I really do want to give everything that I have into this journey,” ani Catriona.
