Samantala, itinanghal na NCAA Most Valuable player, (MVP) siPerpetual Help big man Prince Eze bago nagsimula ang Game 2. Nabigo ng nakaraang taon si Nigerian center Eze na masilo ang pinakamataas na individual award, dahil hindi nakapasok ang Altas sa Final Four sa Season 93rd kahit siya ang nangunguna.

Malaking bagay ang pagkakapasok ng Altas semifinals ngayong taon kaya nakamit din ang inaasam na award.

"I feel like my team made me better, play on my strenght and keep finding me. It was not easy for me to play, they're the MVPs of my team," saad ni Eze. "They know how to make me feel good even if I'm down, they put me in the right path to get the inspiration."
