Pascual, bilang DTI secretary at Bonoan, bilang DPWH chief — Marcos

Napili ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na bubuo sa kanyang gabinete sina Alfredo Pascual at Manuel “Manny” Bonoan para pamunuan ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), base sa pagkakasunod.

“I have asked Fred Pascual to head the DTI and he has agreed,” ani Marcos sa isang press conference ngayong Huwebes. “I am intending to nominate Manny Bonoan for Department of Public Works and Highways. I know him very well, I know he will do a good job...” dagdag ni Marcos.

Si Pascual ang hepe ng Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) at dating presidente ng University of the Philippines (UP). Habang si Bonoan ay presidente at chief executive officer (CEO) ng SMC Tollways.

Bagong tulay sa Loay, Bohol, bubuksan sa 2-way traffic sa Hunyo 7 — DPWH

Target ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na buksan na sa 2-way traffic ang bagong tulay sa Loay, Bohol sa susunod na buwan.

Sa isang statement ngayong Huwebes, sinabi ng DPWH na matatapos na ang access ramps para sa bagong Clarin Bridge habang maisasagawa na rin ang two-way traffic scheme sa Hunyo 7, 2022.

Batay sa isang report mula kay Undersecretary at Build, Build, Build chief implementer Emil Sadain, ayon sa DPWH, umabot na sa final stage ang konstruksyon ng approach road para sa bagong Clarin Bridge, kasabay ng paglalagay ng bituminous asphalt concrete finish matapos ang pagsasailalim sa full compaction ng mga base materials.

Ayon sa DPWH, “The new bridge in Barangay Poblacion Ubos, Loay crossing Loboc River is designed as a Nielsen Arch bridge spanning 104 meters with an approach roads at abutment “A” of 208 meters and at abutment “B” of 217 meters.”

Binanggit naman ng ahensiya, bilang tugon sa nangyaring pagbagsak ng parallel old Clarin Bridge noong Abril 27, 2022, ang DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) sa kooperasyon ng DPWH Regional Office 7 at ng District Engineering Offices sa Bohol, agad na tinapos ang proyekto at binuksan ang bagong Clarin Bridge, habang isinagawa ang isang one-lane traffic scheme para sa mga light vehicles.

Matatandaan na ang lumang tulay na ginawa noong 1970s ay isa sa mga imprastruktura na naapektuhan ng 7.2-magnitude na lindol na tumama sa Bohol noong 2013, ayon sa DPWH.

Samantala, umabot sa halagang P462 million ang Clarin Bridge replacement project na bahagi ng Bohol Circumferential Road contract package 3 sa ilalim ng DPWH Road Upgrading and Preservation Projects (RUPP) na pinondohan sa pamamagitan ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan deal.

“All equipment and personnel are in full-force working double time to open the bridge into two-way traffic the soonest possible time,” saad ni Sadain.

“Apart from providing safe, economical, and reliable mobility of people, goods and services, the new Clarin Bridge is seen to further boost the tourism industry of the island province of Bohol in Central Visayas,” pahayag pa ng DPWH.

Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, bukas na

Binuksan na ang Binondo-Intramuros Bridge sa mga motorista matapos na pangunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang inagurasyon nito kahapon.

Batay sa ulat, mayroong apat na lane ang Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, kung saan kaya nito ang may 30,000 motorista na papasok at lalabas ng Intramuros at Binondo kada araw.

Gayundin, mayroong bike lanes at sidewalk ang nasabing tulay. Sa ginanap na pasinaya nitong Martes, pinasalamatan ni Pangulong Duterte ang China sa paglalaan nila ng pondo para mabuo ang naturang proyekto.

Dumalo sa nasabing event si Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian. “I also thank and with gratitude the People’s Republic of China for the confidence and for being a partner in enhancing key infrastructure projects in our country,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

“As my administration comes to a close, we remain committed to providing a comfortable life for every Filipino through various opportunities for growth and success,” sabi pa ng Punong Ehekutibo.

Ayon naman kay Ambassador Huang, ito ang ika-16 na proyektong nakumpleto ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa China sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Chinese President Xi Jinping.
