Nag-react na si Megastar Sharon Cuneta tungkol sa kaibigan niyang si BB Gandanghari sa naging pahayag nito kamakailan sa mister niyang si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.

Matatandaang sa naging interview ni BB sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda (FTWBA), binawi ng kapatid ni Sen. Robin Padilla ang kanyang pagsuporta kay Kiko dahil hindi na aligned ang kanilang pinaniniwalaan.

“I campaigned for Kiko way back nu’ng una s’yang tumakbo. I campaigned for him kasi si Sharon ay kaibigan ko,” lahad ni BB noong nakaraan.

Aniya, “Tumatak sa isip ko ‘yun na we have to maintain our integrity as far as iyong ipinapangako natin sa tao. Dumating ang punto na dito nga sa usaping tungkol sa mga bata (Juvenile Justice), parang ‘di ko naiintindihan kung bakit ‘di naiintindihan ‘yun ni Sen. Kiko.

“Nothing personal at all. Kaso sabi ko nga kay Sharon, kung ganyan, binabawi ko na ‘yung suporta ko kasi baka may mga nakakaalala pa noon.

“Kung ano ang paninindigan ng asawa mo, I don’t think I can support you any longer. And I’m taking it back kasi nagkampanya ako in public, so I will also take it back in public.”

Sa guesting naman ni Sharon last week sa talk show ni Boy Abunda, natanong siya tungkol sa naging pahayag ni BB sa naturang show.

“Nu’ng panahon before s’ya naging BB, tawag ko sa kanya, ‘Kuya Tom’. Siya ‘yung love na love ko, tapos naging Ate B.

“So sa akin, I respect naman kung ano ‘yung paniniwala ng bawat tao. ‘Di ko mai-impose ‘yung beliefs ko sa isang kaibigan. I never had to do that.

“‘Yung sa akin lang, sana ‘yung friendship, ‘di naitapon kahit iba na ‘yung paniniwala. Kasi mahal ko s’ya,” tila nanghihinayang na saad ni Mega.

“Nangyayari naman, people change. People evolve, especially her brother is in the Senate also… So that’s okay with me,” sey pa ni Sharon na muling mapapanood sa seryeng Honor Thy Mother (HTM) with Barbie Forteza, ngayong September 11 na sa Prime Video PH.

Hopefully, magkausap muli sina Sharon at BB.

BRENT: ‘DI PO AKO PUNCHING BAG

BINASAG na ng Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition (PBBCCE) Big Winner na si Brent Manalo ang kanyang katahimikan para i-address ang natatanggap na hate comments online about sa kanyang hosting skills.

Sa kanyang post sa X (dating Twitter) last Sunday, September 6, may pakiusap siya sa madlang pipol.

“I’m not here to change nor dispel your perception of me, but I am asking for a little bit of grace,” panimula ni Brent.

“For months, I took all the lashings and never said a word because I’m a firm believer that you should always let your work speak for you. With all the opportunities being given to me right now, I am truly grateful to the management and everyone who believes in me and my capabilities.

“But these things were never handed to me, it was years of waiting and hard work.

“‘Wag n’yo po sanang ipagkait sa akin na gawin ‘yung trabahong ibinibigay sa akin. I am simply doing my job.

“Regarding my PBB stint, admittedly, my win was polarizing but it is my journey and I hope to be able to look back at it with pride.”

Paliwanag ni Brent, “I never once took that win for granted. I owe it to all those who fought for me. I have made mistakes and learned from it.

“I have apologized time and time again to those whom I’ve offended. This chapter has been closed, so I hope we can all move forward.”

Paniniwala pa niya, “I will ALWAYS listen to constructive criticisms. And I’ll always try to continuously improve because it is our responsibility to provide quality TV to our audience. I’m still a work in progress and I promise to stay committed.”

Katwiran pa niya, “But if your sole purpose in life is to throw unwarranted hate at me, please keep your opinions to yourselves because it will never be acknowledged by me. ‘Di po ako punching bag.”

Marami naman ang nagtatanggol at nagpapahayag ng suporta kay Brent at sinabihan siyang dedmahin na lang ang mga bashers.

Aniya, “I’ve done Saving Grace, medyo mataray ako ru’n, but this is the most mataray I’ve been. It’s the first time I’m in this territory…”

Makakasama niya sa naturang serye ang kino-consider niyang dalawang bagong anak-anakan niya – sina Barbie Forteza at Khalil Ramos.

Samantala, tinanong si Sharon ni Kuya Boy ng “Sa iyong influence at sa tagal mo dito sa public sphere… I know you said no, but you wouldn’t consider getting into politics?”

Seryosong sagot ni Sharon, “I would consider running… away from politics.”

DIREK SIGRID, PINALAGAN NA AWA LANG DAW KAYA NAG-BEST ACTRESS SI KRYSTEL GO

Sa mahabang post ni Direk Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, hindi nga niya napigilan na maglabas ng sama ng loob at napamura pa dahil sa mga natatanggap na panlalait ng mga bida ng I’mPerfect na produced ng Nathan Studios.

Panimula ni Direk Sigrid, “PA-RANT LANG. Isa lang. I’m scared to celebrate my own actors. There. I said it.”

Pahayag niya, “When I’mPerfect won Best Picture and Best Ensemble at the 2025 MMFF, and Krystel won Best Actress, I was so proud of her, of everyone.

“After carrying this film since 2009, I thought, FINALLY. They’re being SEEN the way they deserve to be seen. But NO.

“Tapos mababasa mo mga comments na ganito: ‘Bakit mananalo ang isang mongoloid kaysa sa beteranang aktres?,’ ‘Sarili lang naman n’ya ang ginagampanan n’ya,’ ‘PITY vote,’ ‘Puro retarded naman ang pelikulang ‘yan’ Nakaka… P**tan**!” galit na galit na pahayag ng direktor.

Kuwento pa ni Direk Sigrid sa pinagdaanan ng kanyang mga bida, “Because I was there. The entire team was there. Krystel and Earl didn’t have years of film experience. They had TWO MONTHS.

“And in those two months, they didn’t just learn acting. They had to learn filmmaking.

“Continuity. Marks. Eyelines. Camera limits. Sound. Blocking. Scheduling. Lighting. Repeating the same scene, the same movement, the same emotion again and again because we needed another take. At ang dami pa!

“And it wasn’t only them. We had other actors with Down syndrome, and extras with autism, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities. We wanted them to represent themselves to show their abilities, not their disabilities.”

Dagdag-pagmamalaki pa ni Direk Sigrid, “Now I’mPerfect is being considered as a contender for the Philippines’ entry to the Oscars, and Krystel (Go) and Earl (Amaba) are nominated for Urian as Best Actress and Best Actor.

“I should be celebrating. Pero ang hirap-hirap lang talaga. Because I’m still seeing the SAME COMMENTS.

“They can work twice as hard, prove themselves again and again, and still be reduced to their disability.

“How much more do they have to prove before it’s enough? Kailan ba magiging sapat?

“And what broke me was realizing I was more affected by those comments than they were.

“Chill na chill lang sila, eh. Kasi they’ve heard these things their whole lives.

“What mattered to them was finally seeing themselves on the big screen.

Not as a diagnosis, not as someone people should feel sorry for.”

Paglilinaw pa niya, “They were Krystel playing JESSICA and Earl playing JIRO.

“So criticize the film. My direction. The script. Their performances. That’s part of the job. But they did NOT ‘just play themselves’ ‘di awa ang pinaghirapan nila. Trabaho. Tapang. Talento.

“I didn’t cast them out of pity. I cast them because I saw actors. I believed they could do the job. And they f*cking did.

“So the next time you see an actor with a disability on screen, SEE the ACTOR first.

“Watch the performance. Judge the work. Applaud the talent. Don’t give them pity. Give them the same RESPECT you give every other actor.”

Samantala, malapit nang mapanood ang I’mPerfect sa Netflix PH ayon sa kuwento ni Sylvia Sanchez.

Patuloy itong nakatatanggap ng imbitasyon sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Europa. Naipalabas na ito sa 27th Lucania Film Festival (LFF) sa Italy at next naman sa Prague, Czech Republic.

Samantala, na-postpone ang announcement ng official entry ng Pilipinas sa 99th Academy Awards para sa Best International Feature Film category.

Nakatakda sana itong ilabas noong Biyernes, Setyembre 4, pero naglabas ng official statement ang Film Academy of the Philippines sa pamamagitan ni Jose Paolo Villaluna.

Ia-announce ang new date ng announcement kapag natapos ang deliberation ng National Selection Committee.

Tulad ng inaasahan, kakaibang Barbie Forteza na napakahusay ang mapapanood sa Saving Cherry (SC) mula sa Regal Entertainment, na showing na ngayon in more than 160 cinemas nationwide.

Ang role niya bilang Cherry ay ang wildest virgin you would ever see.

Pahayag nga ni Barbie, “She is the wildest woman I have ever portrayed to date. Si Cherry, s’ya ‘yung wildest and most freeing.”

Kaya naman, ang laki ng pasasalamat nila kay Direk Ivan Payawal dahil binigyan sila ng buong laya sa kani-kanilang eksena.

Aminado naman si Barbie na kahit siya ay nagulat na kinaya niyang gawin sa movie na i-unleash ang kanyang wild side, na hinding-hindi niya maaaring gawin sa TV series.

Bigay na bigay nga ang aktres at kitang-kita ang husay niya sa pag-arte, kaya talaga namang nagustuhan at kinaaliwan ng mga nakapanood sa star-studded grand premiere night na ginanap sa Gateway 2 Cinema 11 nitong Martes, September 1.

Nagpakitang-gilas din sa pag-arte sina Mika Salamanca, Mikee Quintos, AC Bonifacio at Sassa Gurl, na mga friends ni Barbie sa SC na nagdagdag ng katatawanan sa pelikula. Panalung-panalo ang pagsuporta nila sa pag-save kay Cherry. Tawang-tawa kami sa ‘washing machine’ at ‘glue’ scene.

Si Khalil Ramos naman ang asawang nag-cheat sa pelikula, na nagsabing huwag sana siyang kamuhian ng mga fans ni Barbie at manonood.

Kasama rin sa cast sina Joey Marquez, JC Alcantara, Kokoy de Santos, Almira Muhlach, Monina Lawrence at introducing si Than Perez, na may kani-kanyang ganap sa movie, lalo na si Kokoy.

Samantala, isa nga sa mga sumuporta kay Barbie sa movie ay si Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

Labis-labis nga siyang pinahanga ni Barbie sa ginawa nito sa pelikula. Sa kanyang short interview, after na mapanood ang ilang part ng movie, sey ni Alden, “She’s one of the actresses I look up to in the industry na halos ka-generation ko.”

Pananaw ni Alden, hindi raw nagpe-fail ang aktres na magpakita ng kakaiba sa bawat project na ginagawa.

Pahayag niya, “Dito sa Saving Cherry, kita ko naman ang panibagong range n’ya, like there are certain scenes na puwede ko s’yang i-take ng linear when it comes to acting and how the lines will go, binigyan n’ya ako ng fluctuation, eh.

“So, wala talaga akong masabi kay Barbie. That’s why, you know, very close rin kami. Parang with all the projects she’s been doing ever since that I started to... medyo nagkaroon ng ‘Barbie revolution’ kasi for the longest time.

“Nakaka-proud lang to be able to witness this kind of project landing on her lap. Grateful din ako na kahit paano ay maraming nagtitiwala sa kanya na mga producers.”

Totoo naman ang obserbasyon ni Alden, napakahusay talaga ni Barbie sa pagganap na Cherry, dahil kitang-kita na pinag-aralan at kinarir talaga ang bawat eksena.

Pinaghirapan din ni Barbie ang pag-shift from drama to comedy and for being wild and naughty, kaya mapapapalakpak ka na lang at mapapa-thumbs up!
