Konstruksiyon, operasyon ng Monterrazas de Cebu, ipinatigil ng DENR

Ipinahinto na ang pagtatayo at operasyon ng Monterrazas de Cebu dahil sa naiulat na environmental violations mula nang itayo ito, ayon kay Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regional director Laudemir Salac.


Aniya, natuklasan ng ahensya ang pagputol sa mahigit 700 puno sa naturang lugar nang walang permit.


Bukod dito, nilabas din umano ng proyekto ang 10 sa 33 conditions sa kanilang environmental compliance certificate.


Kaugnay nito, tiniyak ni Salac na hindi na muling mag-o-operate ang proyekto maliban na lang kung maaayos ang nasirang detention pond.

November 7 - Maynilad marks historic debut on the Philippine Stock Exchange



President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joined Maynilad Water Services, Inc. and Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) officials in ringing the bell to mark Maynilad’s official listing on the PSE on November 7, 2025, held at the PSE Events Hall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.


The event celebrated Maynilad’s landmark Initial Public Offering (IPO) which drew strong participation from both local and international cornerstone investors, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).


Through this IPO, Maynilad strengthens its capacity to fund major expansion and modernization programs for water and wastewater infrastructure across the West Zone—further advancing its mission to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable water and wastewater services to millions of Filipinos.


Also in photo are PSE President Ramon Monzon, Maynilad Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan, Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez, and other officials.

Nanatili sa 1.7% ang inflation rate ng Pilipinas nitong Oktubre 2025, na parehong antas noong Setyembre 2025, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).


Naitala naman ang mas mataas na inflation rate noong Oktubre 2024 na umabot sa 2.3%.


Ayon kay National Statistician at PSA Undersecretary Dennis Mapa, nagkaroon ng mas mabagal na pagtaas ang mga presyo ng pagkain noong Oktubre, na tumaas lamang ng 0.3% kumpara sa 0.8% noong Setyembre.


Sinabi naman ng Department of Economy Planning and Development (DEPDev) na sumasalamin ito sa mga proactive na hakbang ng gobyerno upang pamahalaan ang mga kondisyon ng sup
