Pinuri ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ngayong Biyernes ang mga nakiisa sa 1986 People Power Revolution na nagpabagsak sa rehimen ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos at sa mga lumaban sa legasiya nito na aniya, sila ang nagbigay-daan para sa mas maunlad na Pilipinas.

Ito ang inilabas na mensahe ni Pangulong Duterte sa pagdiriwang ng ika-36 anibersaryo ng tinatawag na bloodless mass action na nagpatalsik sa dating pangulo at kanyang pamilya, at pagpapatapon sa kanila sa Amerika.

“As we honor the courage and solidarity of those who came before us and fought to uphold our democracy, let us also honor and thank those who continue to keep the legacy of this largely peaceful and non-violent revolution,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

“This celebration serves as a strong reminder that with unity, cooperation and faith, there is nothing we can collectively achieve for the greater good of our country,” dagdag ng Punong Ehekutibo.

Si Soling, na ina ni Pangulong Duterte, ay minsan na ring naging isa sa mga leaders ng grupo na sumasalungat sa Marcos dictatorship.

“Let us emulate their heroism, selflessness and compassion as we strive to recover from present challenges and march forward to better Philippines for all,” sabi ng Pangulo.

“Mabuhay ang lahing Pilipino,” ani pa ni Pangulong Duterte.

P-Duterte inendorso si Loren Legarda sa pagka-senador

Nagpahayag na ng buong suporta si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa senatorial comeback ni former three-term Senator Loren Legarda, na tumatakbo sa ilalim ng UniTeam Alliance.

“I give my endorsement and full support to former Senator Loren Legarda as she runs for senator in the 2022 National Elections. Even before she entered politics, former Senator Legarda has shown great involvement in public service,” ani Duterte sa isang video clip na ibinahagi ni Legarda sa kanyang social media page.

“When she became senator, she was able to help many more Filipinos through her advocacies. Now that she’s running for senator again, I hope you will consider her in your list. I believe Loren deserves to be back in the senate.”

Sa isang pahayag, pinasalamatan ni Legarda ang punong ehekutibo sa suporta, tiwala, at pagpapahalaga nito sa kanyang serbisyo publiko.

“Daghang salamat President Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa inyong tiwala at pagpapahalaga sa aking serbisyo publiko. I wish you continued good health and success,” pahayag ng Antique lone district representative.

Kabilang sa mga plataporma ni Legarda ay ang kanyang long-time advocacies sa environmental protection at climate change adaption; employment at livelihood creation; health; education; at marami pang iba.

Si Legarda ay kabilang din sa top picks sa pagka-senador base sa latest 2022 election surveys.

Bukod kay Legarda, inendorso rin ng pangulo sina former Senator JV Ejercito, former presidential spokesperson at chief legal counsel Salvador Panelo, at former presidential adviser Greco Belgica.

DDS, “Diehard Domagoso Supporters” na — Isko Moreno

Sa kanyang pahayag sa isang press conference na ginanap sa Intramuros nitong Sabado, sinabi ni presidential aspirant Isko Moreno na ang DDS ay nangangahulugan nang “Domagoso Diehard Supporters”.

Nagsimula ang terminong DDS mula ss mga tagasuporta ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nangangahulugang Duterte Diehard Supporters.

“Recently, yung mga DDS, nagsusuporta na din sa atin,” ani Moreno.

“Kaya nga nagkakabiruan kami minsan, pag nagke-kwentuhan kami, ang ibig sabihin ng DDS is Domagoso Diehard Supporters,” biro ng alkalde.

Pormal nang inihayag ng officers at members ng Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee sa pangunguna ni former Agrarian Reform chief John Castriciones ang kanilang pagsuporta kay Moreno.

Samantala, wala pang ineendorso si Pangulong Duterte sa pagka-pangulo.
