Mga klase, suspendido dahil sa tigil-pasada

Ilan sa mga paaralan at local government units (LGUs) ang nagpatupad ng suspensiyon ng physical classes dahil sa transport strike na magsisimula sa Lunes, Nobyembre 20.

Inanunsiyo ng transport group na PISTON noong Nobyembre 15, ang tatlong araw na tigil-pasada isang buwan bago ang takdang deadline na Disyembre 31 para pagtibayin ang pagbabago ng mga Public Utility Vehicle (PUV).

Narito ang listahan ng mga LGUs at paaralan na nagkansela ng mga klase:

Local Government Units

•Pampanga: suspension of in-person classes in all levels of public and private schools.

•Cabuyao, Laguna: suspension of in-person classes in all levels to shift to asynchronous (modular or online) classes

•Calamba, Laguna: suspension of in-person classes in all levels, public and private schools to shift to online learning.

•Camalig, Albay: suspension of in-person classes of public and private schools at all levels

Universities

•Adamson University: Synchronous online classes at all levels to be conducted.

•Arellano University: No in-person classes in all levels and branches from November 20 to 22.

•Ateneo de Manila University: Undergraduate and graduate classes in the Schools of Education and Learning Design, Humanities, Management, Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences to hold online classes for the duration of the strike scheduled from Nov. 20 to 23. However, classes are to resume once the strike ends according to Ateneo’s student publication “The Guidon.”

•De La Salle University-Manila campus: Classes in all levels to shift online from November 20 to 22.

•De La Salle University-Laguna: In-person classes in all levels from preschool to college to shift online from November 20 to 22.

•Far Eastern University - Manila and Makati: Online classes will be conducted.

•FEU High School: Synchronous online classes are also to be conducted.

•Mapua University: Synchronous online classes are to be conducted for all levels.

•Miriam College - Loyola Heights: Basic Education Unit, Skills Development and Technical Education Center, and Higher Education Unit will shift to online classes from November 20 to 21.

•Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila: To shift to synchronous online classes from November 20 to 22.

•Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina: All classes are to shift to asynchronous mode from November 20 to 22.

•Polytechnic University of the Philippines: All campuses will shift to online mode of classes from November 20 to 22.

•University of the East - Manila and Caloocan Campus: Classes in all levels for November 20 and 21 will be delivered in online asynchronous mode.

•University of the Philippines-Diliman: Classes to shift to remote or asynchronous learning modes from November 20 to 22.

•University of the Philippines-Manila: Classes to shift to online mode on November 20.

•University of the Philippines-Los Baños: Classes shall be delivered via remote or asynchronous mode.

•University of Santo Tomas: Classes and office work will shift to the “enriched virtual mode” and remote arrangements.

P1 dagdag-pasahe sa jeep, start sa Oct. 8

Dagdag na piso sa pasahe sa mga pampasaherong jeep o Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ) ang inaprubahan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Kasunod ito ng isinagawang pagdinig sa kahilingan ng ilang malalaking grupo sa transportasyon kahapon sa central office ng ahensya sa Quezon City.

Sa ibinabang resolusyon, pinagtibay ng LTFRB ang dagdag na P1 provisional increase sa minimum fare sa parehong traditional at modern jeepneys.

Nangangahulugan na sa mga traditional public utility jeepney (TPUJ) ay magiging P13 na ang minimum na pasahe habang sa modern public utility jeepneys (MPUJ) ay nasa P15.

Ang epektibo sa P1.00 dagdag singil ay sa darating na Linggo, Oktubre 8, ganap na ala-1 ng madaling-araw.

"Effective ng October 8 at 1 in the morning, effective ang increase na provisional remedy. Piso lang po. Ibig sabihin ng provisional, temporary lang ito hanggang hindi pa nag-i-improve and price ng gasolina,” pahayag ni LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III.

Kabilang sa mga transport groups na humiling sa dagdag-pasahe ang Alliance of Concerned Transport Organization (ACTO), Alliance of Transport Operators and Drivers' Association of the Philippines (ALTODAP) at Pasang Masda.

Ang kahilingan ng tatlong grupo na dagdag-pasahe ay base sa sunud-sunod na pagsirit ng taas-singil sa pangunahing krudo.

Nabigo naman ang grupo sa kanilang kahilingan na dagdag-piso pa sa kada kilometro mula sa unang apat na kilometrong biyahe. Sa November 7 ang susunod na pagdinig para sa P5 fare increase petition.

Transport groups sa LTFRB: P2 dagdag-pasahe sa jeep

Humingi ng dagdag na P2 sa pamasahe sa jeep ang apat na transport groups upang makabawi sa mataas na presyo sa produktong petrolyo.

Naghain ng petisyon nitong Biyernes ng umaga sa tanggapan ni Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III ang mga grupong Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators sa Pilipinas, FEJODAP, PISTON, at Stop and Go Movement upang payagan silang magdagdag ng P2 singil sa pamasahe sa unang apat na kilometro ng biyahe.

Ayon kay LTOP President Orlando Marquez, hindi na nila kayang balikatin ang sunud-sunod na pagtaas sa presyo ng produktong petrolyo na umabot na aniya ng P10 ang itinaas kada litro simula noong Hulyo.

Tumaas din umano nang sobra-sobra ang presyo ng piyesa ng mga sasakyan na dagdag-pahirap sa mga tsuper at operators

Humiling ng pang-unawa si Marquez sa mga pasahero dahil nahihirapan na sila sa walang tigil na pagtaas sa presyo ng petrolyo at halos kakarampot na lamang ang naiuuwing kita sa kanilang pamilya.

Kapag maaprubahan ang petisyon ng public transport groups, magiging P14 na ang minimum na pamasahe mula sa kasalukuyang P12.
