Rematch ni Suarez kay Navarrete itinutulak

Kasunod ng matagumpay na panalong nakuha ni Olympian at unbeaten pro boxer Charly “The King’s Warrior” Suarez nitong nagdaang weekend upang mapanatiling nakatuon ang landas sa inaantabayanang rematch kontra unified super-featherweight titlist Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete ng Mexico – subalit tila ibang landas ang patutunguhan ng naturang laban.

Naglabas ng kahilingan ang kampo ng 37-anyos na 2016 Summer Olympian at mandatory challenger sa pamunuan ng World Boxing Organization (WBO) na sundin ang kanilang naunang direktiba at kautusan na harapin ng WBO at International Boxing Federation (IBF) na si Navarrete upang masimulan ang negosasyon para sa isang rematch.

“By destroying Manuel Avila, Charly Suarez proved once again he is the top contender to Emanuel Navarrete, and we ask the WBO to enforce their order and direct his team to start negotiating for a rematch,” pahayag ni Sampson Lewkowicz. “Charly’s dream is to be world champion, and we feel he deserves another shot at the title,” eksplika ni Boholst. “Avila was a capable opponent, and Charly had no problem with him. We are ready for another shot at the world title.”

Madaling tinapos ni Olympian at unbeaten pro boxer Charly “The King’s Warrior” Suarez ang 14 na buwang pananahimik sa laban matapos patumbahin sa first round si dating world champion Manuel “Tino” Avila tungo sa technical knockout kahapon ng umaga upang makuha ang World Boxing Organization (WBO) International junior-lightweight title sa National Orange Show Events Center sa San Bernardino, California. 

Bukod sa panibagong title belt, nananatiling nasa tuktok ng listahan sa WBO rankings ang 37-anyos na 2016 Summer Olympian at mandatory challenger kay unified super-featherweight titlist Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete ng Mexico.

Nagpakawala ng straight punch sa panga at kaliwang hook sa mukha ang three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist upang maging sanhi ng pagluhod at tuluyang pagsuko sa mga bilang ni referee Ivan Guillermo para tapusin ang suntukan sa 2:31 sa first round. 

“For me, I’m waiting for Navarrete because there’s a lot of people waiting for that fight. May laban si Pacquiao sa huling bahagi ng taon

Nananatiling bukas sa posibilidad na magkaroon ng laban ngayong taon si 8th-division World champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao bagamat naantala ang inaabangang bigtime rematch kontra American boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. na nakatakda dapat sa Setyembre 2026 sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

May namumuong plano na laban para sa 47-anyos na Filipino boxing legend at hinahanapan ng makakatunggali ng kanyang kampo na itatakda sa huling quarter ngayong taon, bago tumulak sa laban kay Mayweather sa Enero 2027. 

“We are looking for the right partners to do an exhibition, and then find boxers for a pro-fight, so there will be a lot of things coming up,” pahayag ni MP Promotions Chief Executive Officer Jaspreet “Jas” Mathur. “There is a plan to have a fight this year and to roll into next year for the big fight.”

Bukod umano sa undefeated American boxer, nauna na ring inasinta ng kampo ni Pacquiao ang sumabak ito sa isang panibagong world title fight, kung saan huling beses sumabak ang pambato ng General Santos City kontra Mario “El Azteca” Barrios para sa World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight title noong Hulyo 19, 2025 sa MGM Grand Garden Arena sa Las Vegas. 

Nagtapos ang naturang upakan sa kontrobersyal na majority draw, upang mapanatili ng Mexican-American ang kanyang titulo, na kalauna’y naagaw sa kanya ni Ryan “KingRy” Garcia sa bisa ng 12-round unanimous decision nitong Pebrero 21 sa T-Mobile Arena sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We have a lot of boxers that are possible candidates for a pro fight, yes, we do, we always have. I mean, even before the Floyd fight came about, I had somebody else that I wanted to put in a fight together who’s actually very close to me, another pro boxer who is champion right now,” wika ni Mathur, kung saan inamin nitong target nilang makalaban si World Boxing Association (WBA) titlist Rolando “Rolly” Romero, bago pa ito mailinya sa laban kay Teofimo Lopez sa darating na Agosto 22.

“I actually want to put the Rolly fight together; that was my plan from the beginning. I was even talking about it last year because I’m already with Manny, and Rolly is also with my company in Limitless. Rolly is also a dear good friend. So that’s a very direct situation,” dagdag ng 41-anyos na tubong New Delhi, India, na tinukoy ring posibilidad sana si Ryan Garcia.

“Everything is on the table; it’s on the table. All of these boxers are on the table, but our focus is on what is in front of us right now, and as I said, we want to break records.”
